Partly true. He needs to be seen to be doing things "Baz's way" until he has had long enough to show that he is a competent manager. After that, he can get away with doing as he pleases, in the knowledge that if he is sacked, anything better than the bottom six would be seen as job done by prospective employers at lower Championship/decent League One clubs. Ignoring December 2009 and January 2010, GT has said more about Watford to the media in the last month than he has in the past two and a half years. For as long as Taylor is at the club, and believes that someone needs to back Bassini when he's right and reign him in when he's wrong, he will do exactly that.
Seconded Leo, GT has so far supported Baz every step of the way. It will be interesting to see if/when things start to go awry. My diary is still open for any fans forums the new regime may see fit to authorise.
I did read last week that some fans forums will take place around the area. The club have said that they will give a months notice for them. If it is like the informal ones with players, manager and CEO it would be interesting. Would Mr B allow himself to take up the role of the last one there?
whilst the Watford custodian is in a position of influence ,I am happy and relieved ,coz not sure Baz could do it on his own, That said with GT in his ear a bad start is being turned around !
