Sounds like Martin at CB isn't working too well. Brining Bennett on should help. Don't think we can really do much about the midfield with the bench we have.

Good workout against a good side. Caught them cold early on with two good finishes from Grabban, but Celta's quality was there for all to see. Especially, as I mentioned earlier Nolito and Krohn Deli.
Be interesting to see how Celta get on against Wolves tomorrow. Perhaps a useful barometer but also, may not show us anything! Seems a little odd playing back to back games in pre season so no idea what kind of team they'll put out.
I was at the match last night and after 11 minutes, I was wondering what the winning margin might be, then Celta Vigo decided to start playing and gave our defence a torrid time - especially Whittaker and I sincerely hope NA is actively searching for someone else to play there, as he seems to have decided that Rusty is his first choice CB -(I'd rather it was R Bennett partnering Turner). Grabban took his goals very well, Redmond started brightly, but reverted more to type as the game went on, though more of his shots were on target; Surman played well, as did JR, Ollson and Lafferty. Hoolahoops started brightly, but faded as the game went on. GH looked 'up for it' when he came on. Overall, a good workout and I wish NA had made more use of substitutions and certainly made them earlier. Our games during August will be of tremendous importance to our season, as if we don't pick up a decent haul of points, I feel a lot of fans will be on NA's back; though I feel if we don't perform well, then any anger should be aimed at the ineptitude of the board, not NA himself!!!!
as i said from the very start, we will concede bucket loads if russell martin plays centre half. he is a right back - please play him there and sign a centre back if ryan bennett isn't your cup of tea!
