Mate you are in your way to Cow Gap from Hollywell
I know every inch of that walk to the rocks by beachy head as I used to prawn there every day as I was born in Eastbourne
I am in France so just caught this today and bad news
I have jumped off it twice and nearly got badly injured the first time but lucky escape ... The second time I pissed it

    My sons still live there
One at the beachy head pub the other now in town

Beautiful place and Eastbourne has plenty of dosh to rebuild it

The government is providing £2 million in assistance for the rebuilding of the pier and it is expected to reopen next year...

Christ what a drama just watched the silly cow heap on the drama
Good to see the arcade gone IMO
    It needed burning believe me
I hope they restore it but no arcade or just a vintage one

It's was Dixieland at the end of the pier and it was awful ... Imagine Heart radio on acid and you are half way there ... I clubbed in Hastings to my kicks ... Dixieland was always last resort for us at kids

Seriously pleased its gone because it will be restored 100% and it was past its best

I thought it was privately owned? And surely insurance has to cover this, especially as it turns out to be arson, as is suspected?

If my house burns down will the government pay for me to restore it?
