Nearly always use travelodges Chief, book in advance and the accomodation is cheap. did have grief one year from the revenue, where this stupid woman wanted to know why I had so many hotel bills in Cardiff. She thought I was taking a holiday! Then she suggested why didn't I drive each day. She didnt believe its a 3 and a half our trip each way.
I know the place you mean, it looks pretty grim from the outside but the food be good please log in to view this image
That's the one Krome. The food there is brilliant, as I said earlier, the *****lean beef was superb, but so was everything else we had. And by the sign its everyday now, not just sundays
The other one I tried with Mrs. Bonnet was an Italian restaurant on a side road if you come up from the RAF parachute station towards the Cherwell Valley services and turn tight, its about 2 miles down there on the right. Superb food, but a bit pricey. But as the saying goes, you gets what you pay for.
My cooking is best I refuse to pay over the odds for average joe food. Years ago I used to go to an Indian restaurant called Mr Daves in Lye near Brum, top nosh.
Not all that keen on Indian HRH, but the most overrated food has to be French.and this Neveau Cuisine is a load of bollocks. I don't want pretty food with fancy coloured stripes, give me some proper food
HRH few years ago, I did the Normandy beaches. If the cooking I tasted there was an example of their finest, I am surprised the Germans bothered to invade.
If that is so, they need to get a British cook book. I was a while ago when I visited there, so I assume now that BK, Kentucky ****ie and McD's are franchised. Would rather live off those for a week than the traditional over priced junk
This one is way off track, and situated in football wastelands, but one of the VERY BEST fish and chip takeaways Its in Portmadoc, North Wales not on the main street, but situated in a side street. The chippy is called Allports, and is in Snowdon street. Genuine top class chippy!
