Poz and Canas were basically isolated from the team the moment Monk took over and nothing to do with on pitch activities . Not a rumour , an opinion. That left Michu and Pablo with a bad taste in theyre mouth which caused theyre exit . All nothing to do with football on the pitch imo . Shelvey's tweets after our past manager was sacked , and Bony sitting on the bench against Everton in the 5th round of the FA Cup after his memorible game at old Trafford against United in round 4 are still in their minds and can see them both leaving or unhappy staying ... not a rumour , an opinion
Poz , Chico, Canas and Michu brought in for a combined fee of 5 million £ , what a ****ing waste of gems because of personality clashes with the "new " manager ... we will regret whar we have done , but must try to rebuild best we can
Poz was barely more than average in nearly every game he played for us with the exception of a few early games, he's not the next Messi like some people seem to think he is
Agree with Campion and Number 5. From what I saw of him a hard worker, poor decision maker and championship level at best.
Canas wasn't isolated, he played in a number of big games under Monk at the start including Napoli away. Oh, and Jonjo and Bony won't be going anywhere
Chico out of those listed is the only player that gets in out team at present. The other three aren't a loss whatsoever on last seasons form.
Pozuelo was having a decent season until Laudrup left, didn't he actually play the most minutes for us up to that point? If he was "championship quality" what does that make the rest of the squad? I think what some are forgetting is that he was just 22 years old. If a full-back like Davis commands a fee of ~£8m after a distinctly average season what would Pozuello have been worth after another year or two?
Never knew something like that existed with Pablo , his might be a more complicated exit . Michu was injured for most of last season and had no stomach for us as he heeled after losing our last manager . And Poz was a big part of our first half season success last season , You cant blame him for not playing a big part the 2nd half if hes benched ,I mean really . Who knows what we could have done 2nd half with happy spainsh players some ,non spanish players also ... look at Davis .
Ya but youll have a different book tomorrow, Poz earned his money as a utility midfieler when a utility fielder was needed badly .
We keep coming back to Bony don't we? I think that'll be the killer. If we lose him close to the deadline we'll be in trouble this season imo.
IF IF IF and if he objected to the treatment of our previous manager by our current manager or IF he and Monk eat children In the meantime it is amazing that someone who with such limited time on the pitch - largely utilised as an impact sub and completely ignored for all of the last part of the season - had near the highest assist record in our whole team. In fact as I recall only outdone by Pablo, also unfortunately lost to us. Sad to see Poz leave he had much talent, great potential, much drive and attack and was a freakin steal for us. Good luck Poz sorry to see you go.
Oh, how glib! Poz was bought as a development player and cost us peanuts and his potential was there to see. Any manager worth his salt should have been eager to work with that potential and bring it out. Total waste of a player who could have been great for us in the years to come. He was light years ahead of and better than some of those youngsters who didn't have a clue against Bournemouth.
Poz has only himself to blame, he should have kept his head down and mouth shut, and got on with his game!....................
