I still like Billy. He's just not good enough at this level. That video highlights how many big goals he came up with, in that run-in.
Alex Crook arguing with Mark Higgins on twitter. It's actually weird that Crook a less of a dick head then Mark.
Quite a few players made major contributions, but have now gone on to pastures new. Always have a soft spot for players like Hammond, Sharp, and Barnard. I suppose the surprise was that some (inc. Lambert, Spider etc) stayed for so long.
Well if his salary here is too high for a Championship club then his options are either take a pay cut for first team football or rot.
Of course, but I would not expect the Cherries to be too high on the salary paying list, unless there owner is now coughing up quite a bit extra?
Well, they've received a decent amount on the Lallana sell-on and from also selling Grabban. Should have quite a few million from that, which could surely be reallocated to wages. They've got Junior Stanislas, Elliot Ward and Ian Harte, who all probably earn a fair amount.
Billy, for whatever reasons, good and bad, has decided to be sitting on his salary for a while now, over and above playing competitive football. That's why he's been so hard to shift to this point, because he's not allowed for a reduction. I've always found the slight hero-worship for him to be a little bit misplaced with that in mind, but perhaps I'm missing something.
