Joey giving it large on Israel

Already there are several reports of Israeli shelling, 3 reported dead in Gaza, 6 in Rafah and snipers still active. First report of Israeli breach of ceasefire came 8 mins after it begun. Right now reports of heavy clashes between resistance and Israeli soldiers in Rafah. Haven't seen any reports of rockets being launched to Israel (yet), but doesn't look too good so far

 

Reports also state that the above relates to explosions inside the tunnels dug from Gaza into Israel.

It's a very confusing time over there, and it would be a shame if people continued to post only those reports that support their personal view - there's enough of that happening already.

Let's hope that there's the opportunity to both help the innocents and for those taking part in the killings - from both sides - to reflect and to consider talking.

 

the entire middle east combined wouldn't wipe Israel off the map. Hamas is having their cake now, and eating it.

 

A now stories coming out that an Israeli soldier is missing so the certainly will not help things!

 

Oh no, Joey has really really gone in to a tirade today......... and he's just called God a C**t. While he's in Ireland!!

Ahhh never a dull moment, although I tend to walk away from any type of religion, I have my views, I certainly respect anyone who does turn to religion as long as that is in the true peaceful, god fearing, salt of the Earth type, not the fanatical, kill everyone who doesn't share my view type. But Joey can't have done his chances of captaincy any good with this outburst.

 

That's a real shame.

I think most of us are more concerned by the 1,000+ innocent people murdered by the Israelis including hundreds of children.

 

He really should just shut up. I'm not saying this as a Christian, I'm saying it as someone who recognises when Barton should shut up.

He's not only completely ignorant about the causes behind the conflict in Israel (it's not about religion, it's about land, survival of nationalities, and resources that both sides believe they have the prior claim to), he's also completely ignorant of the huge number of QPR fans who will be - quite rightly - hugely offended by his outburst. Sure, we get it : he doesn't think much of religion. Fair enough. But to publicly post what he has said above, without understanding that this WILL have consequences? I trust that the club will be talking to him, and that a retraction / apology will be tweeted.

As a practising catholic I can't say I am particularly offended but he has been stupid. He is the media's go to man these days and they won't take kindly to that. I wonder what would happen if he had said Allah rather than God...

 

And I agree with you but the taking of an Israeli soldier will enrage the Israelis and they will try everything to get him back, thus endangering more civilians. Dont be such and fingl arse!. Remember Hamas is also "murdering" Israeli civilians, but I guess that doesnt count!

why don't they flush out the orchestrators of this conflict before losing so many lives. why only look at Israel. I'm affraid this is not a oneway street.
Israel have every right to retaliate when being attacked. It is their country and these are the consequences when messing with someone bigger than you.
the vast majority of those killed have most likely been human shields in some form or another. to late for tears now, they started and Israel will now finish
once and for all.

 

Give us the figures on how many then we can compare who the real terrorists are and who the real land grabbers are. There hasn't even been 10 Israeli civilians killed in this conflict yet. The Palestinian death toll is over 1,000 and rising. Who is murdering who????????

 

Pure utter rubbish. Palestine is NOT Israel's country. They are an uninvited invading force.

 

Oh well, another 72 hour 'humanitarian' cease-fire lasts barely four hours, it really is becoming an impossible situation...

 

Israel is entitled to defend itself, but it's the disproportionate nature of it's response which is unacceptable. It's coming to something when even the US condemns Israeli actions.

 

Thats just ridiculous, 10 people killed is the same as 1000. Hamas have fired nearly 3000 rockets at civilian targets and the fact that most of them has missed is due to Hamas being unable to hit anything rather than their aim to miss.and skill is craps a terroist organization a who were voted into power by the people of Gaza, the same as the Nazi party were voted into power by the Germans and the Japanese voted their leaders ito power. Both countries suffered massive civilian casualties. I suppose that Britain and USA should not have gone to war with them either.
Once again the casulties both Arabs and Israelis is both sad and unnecessary but untill Hamas stops its terror I'm afraid more deaths are going to occur.

 

You live in a very strange world if murdering 10 people is the same as murdering over 1,000. I am sorry but in my world, the fact that one group wears a uniform and the other doesn't in no way makes one right and one wrong.

 

Guys - the fact that ANY civilians have been killed or injured is a tragedy, no matter what their nationality. That's what we should be decrying, but instead you're continuing the conflict here? How is starting a fight between ourselves - albeit with keystrokes and not missiles - showing any empathy for the innocents on both sides that are being killed and injured over a strip of land and centuries-old prejudice?

 

This for me.

It's just upsetting this conflict and sadley as posted before I just can't see it having a solution in my lifetime. To much needless loss of life on both sides for it to be resolved anytime soon.
