Loan deal agreed according to Sky Sports journo Graeme Bailey (and according to multiple other twittery folk), with an option to buy I believe.

We are also strongly rumoured to have agreed a fee with QPR for the permanent transfer of Remy, in the region of £8million. Hopefully both true and NUFC mean business this summer.

    Graeme Bailey @GraemeBailey

Newcastle agree a loan deal with Shakthar Donetsk for striker Facundo Ferreyra. They still want another main striker on permanent deal too.

If we signed one striker I'd be happy, two then it seems we do mean business. A quality centre half and we're all of a sudden talking about a bit of depth.

Good bit of business. Remy as well would be welcome.

It's looking hopeful. Just hope that MA doesn't crush those hopes!

Ferreyra looks decent too - a little lightweight but very fast and tricky with a good range of finishing. The most promising thing is the reports from people who have watched him regularly sound as exciting as his youtube highlights look.

I tell you what I'll not be greedy. Give us Micah Richards and we'll make do (covering right when needed).

Still after another striker too according to most journalists.

So we could line up something like:

    Riviere/Ferreyra

    Remy/Gouf - Siem/Cabella - Cabella/Sissoko

    Colback/Anita - Tiote/Sissoko

    Haidara - Colo - Richards - Janmaat

    Krul

    Just a little tasty...

Grenier (no chance) type ..and a versatile CB ...if Ferrerya and Remy arrive ..would be freakishly positive and hopeful

Striker selection last season: Remy, Cisse, Shola, Luuk de Jong, Armstrong.

Possible selection this season: Remy, Riviere, Ferreyra, Ayoze, Cisse, Armstrong.

Fascinating. I'm not sure it's as cut and dried as just adding player on player - well, to be fair, it seems very unusual. Cisse was well rumoured to be on the unwanted list, is this still the case? Or is this Ben Arfa's replacement? Our revolving door policy still seems intact, but maybe this is positive activity for a change.

Does this mean Remy is surplus to requirements?

I am still alarmed that we are one injury away from a back four of MYM, Colo, Willo and Dummett. The same garbage that shipped so many time and time again last season. I struggle to understand why Pardew and the team aren't addressing this one?

Agreed. I wonder if they addressing that in the background. I have a feeling we are after a CB.

This kid is supposed to be nice. Apparently a very favorable deal for US too. My worry is that he won't get a chance if we sign Remy. It looks like he's a poacher and isn't going to be as versatile.

Nice, I didn't expect us to sign anyone. I assumed as we had maintained the status quo and ma had kept us moving sideways like some football crab, also with gouff and de jong as potential strikers, that we wouldn't even bother. He could obviously turn out to be **** but its something at least

Looks promising from the video. Scores all different types of goals, which definitely bodes well. One thing I noticed, is he scores quite a few with his left, considering he's right footed - also a good thing. One of my biggest pet peeves is professional players that are useless with their weaker foot. If you are paid to play, there is no excuse for not practicing with your weaker foot.

He was very highly rated when leaving Argentina, they paid a decent fee at the time. Fingers crossed.

Shawcross, Richards, someone along those lines. MYM seems back in favour though..............
