Former Swansea midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo was formerly unveiled to the Rayo Vallecano fans yesterday after his transfer to the Spanish side on 24 July 2014. Shame
We will live to regret this low cost, young utility midfielder's exit. Gone because of things not relating to the actual playing of the game itself , super disappointing decision .
Pozuelo came with a rumoured reputation for not only being an exciting prospect but also someone who was temperamental and "hot-headed". He demonstrated glimpses that he has the ability to play - if he can mature and "control" his temperament, then yes we may have lost a potentially good player.
Failure to manage this player means that we have lost a potentially superb player. OK, he was difficult but exciting talents often are. Had he been British, I wonder whether more strenuous efforts would have been made to deal with his "problems".
Most used player in our first half last season under our former manager as a young half a million€ midfielder. A gem by most accounts and we are a team that must rely on well choosen gems... its our way . But gone is gone and time to move on but I for one will follow his career from here . One of my favotite young players .
How many good games did he actually play? Most times I saw him, after the first 2 months, he was fairly average. If he can't do what he's told on the pitch, and if he causes disruptions off it, then it's his tough luck. The reality is Emnes contributed more in a handful of games than Pozeulo over the whole season. So we move on.
........ and you don't use and quote rumours? What about "Gone because of things not relating to the actual playing of the game itself,..."
The oldest card to play on a player thats wanted out is the "disruption card . Trick number one in a managers book of list of reasons to cut loose players .
Rumour, innuendo, slurs, and downright lies, fuel this forum. Pozuelo became another "victim/target" here, and has now moved on to better things. Good luck to him.
I prefer Emnes, at least we have seen his finishing product in the league. And I don't see why we should prop up the ego of somebody who might end up being very good. If he wasn't listening and leaked things to the press and said that he was taking Canas and Michu with him, then Monk did the right thing.
Bony and Shelvey werent tagged as disruptive , apples and oranges . BUT if either of those 2 leave , there is a good chance the ""disruptive " card will more than likely come out of the deck around here valley
So what did you mean when you said that Poz was "Gone because of things not relating to the actual playing of the game itself....."?
