On my travels I noticed that a new Boyes store is opening IN THE CITY CENTRE! Let the regeneration of Whitefriargate begin! It's where Peacocks used to be, and prior to that I think Poundstretcher. Phew. Take some time to take it in. Let it settle.
Astonishing.......The Preston Rd massive will be holding a street party in celebration, now they have another shop to frequent when in the town centre with their perpetual days off!!!!
Give it a rest, much better than seeing an empty unit sat there and hopefully creating a few jobs in the process.
Woah woah woah Aquity. Let me hand you the correct end of the stick. Boyes is BIG news on this forum. Big. It is of utmost importance to many on here, and I am providing a service in line with that.
Party Hull. My reference was still indeed targeted at Stu. I see the mixup at a connotation level. Although It is said . It takes one to know one.
Don't think I've ever been in a Boyeses. They got anything different or just another dull generic cheap shop? I vaguely remember some old dear buying some material from there when I was younger. Old news btw. It was mentioned on here a month or so ago I think.
That's how people pronounce it, not how it is pronounced. It's like how people say Herons. Does me 'ed in 'ow people talk sometimes.
hardly the epitome of a class high street is it? there's a William hill, cash converters type place, and now a boyses along with heron what are we? goole in disguise?
Well, one is the correct pronunciation and one is the popular local pronunciation, which I believe is predominantly East Hull, although I'm sure I'll be corrected. I pronounce it Boyes (Boyz), like I call Heron, Heron, not Herons.
