I agree, he showed a lot of potential last year. IMO he may well break into the first choice 11 this year (if I was in charge, I'd have been picking him ahead od Stephen davis last year...) That would be interesting, we have five of them & whilst JWP could be probably play as part of a front three, I couldn't see any of the other four doing it.
JWP is promising but he wouldn't have been as good as Davis last year.........especially in the position MP was playing Davis.
Nice cosy scoreline 3-1. Beat the pants off the opposition but give them a goal just because we're bloody nice chaps.
With the stupid number of corners we were winning last year, his dead ball skills would have been perfect. Time after time I found myself wishing JWP was on the pitch - but you do have a point about position and it's why I'm not a professional manager.
Yep - He should definitely be playing as part of a front three; he's much better going forwards than our other midfielders who are all defensive How's this: Boruc Bertrand Fonte <a.n.other> Clyne Wanyama Schniderlin Cork Tadic JWP Pelle
Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport · Enterprising first 45 for @ryanbertrand3 in a #saintsfc shirt - raided forward well , wanting ball & nothing to test him defensively
Its been a pleasant evening, not said that in a football related while. Have a good weekend fellow saints.
