He's not made a comment on the Ravel Morrison thread about that being about a player who DOESN'T play for us...

As I understood it was his wage demands that stopped the transfer ? QED must be Crap.

KPDH....Up until now I have always given my backing to him, after all he gave us some wonderful moments, I have been pro adel but not in an over the top way.......however now his antics appear to be detrimental to the side/team spirit that we need for the coming season and reluctantly I believe it to be in the clubs interest if he just buggers off somewhere else and takes his Diva attitude with him........

If however he does a miraculous U - Turn and says that he wants to stay at QPR and perform to the best of his ability, then great........

I Taarabt's that desperate to leave he should pay us the difference between what Milan are offering and what we're asking.

Tramore, and I have always said he is an incredible talent, but talent without application, is not enough.

But he would need 2-3 months of incredibly hard training, and it would indeed be a "miraculous U - Turn" - shame, real shame

Before anybody writes him off for good and talks about him in the past tense, he is included in the touring party for the Tour of Ireland.

"2 - 3 months of incredibly hard training". Whio are you talking about now, Cyril Smith? Not sure even he would need that long, and I don't think he's currently alive!

No Jack Collison though. I guess we won't be seeing much more of him..!

A good example of the Anti-Adel mob moving the goal posts… used to have the mick taken out of him for saying he was going to Milan… He then dished up some humble pie. They then said he would fail at Milan and he dished up some more humble pie.

An article pops up in the Italian media with an article that serves the interests of Milan who are trying to buy him. It does this by turning some of those fans who support him against him and he hasn’t even done anything:

And the bile it has produced on Twitter…
Anti- Adel mob take it as gospel and pile in- been wanting him to fail for 5 years now and he has dished up so much humble pie the anti-adel mob must be fatter than they think Adel is!!

Have a look at the squad for Irelands tour and see how short of players we are. We’ve even had to include SWP FFS!! I really think that Adel wont go anywhere while we are this short of numbers. What’s more we need him!!

I really hope/think the article has no basis of truth other than a ploy by the agent to force a move through. If so anti-adel mob should start getting those knives and forks out to tuck into some more humble pie shortly

Delighted that he has been included in the squad for Ireland. Having gone to both Orient and Southend over the past couple of days he is exactly what the team is missing - a creative spark. I know its only pre-season, but we should be getting shots on target, and as with last season we haven't been.

Also, no Collison now, and only 1 youth team player (Lumley - Goalkeeper).

For all the pro or anti Adel factions, the next few weeks will reveal whether he actually wants to play for us and whether Harry will let him. Until this happens it's all just speculation, we'll know by the 1st September...

I'm in the pro Adel camp, because he has given me much entertainment and I'd like to see some more, especially after last season. But I have no doubt he would prefer to be elsewhere, especially Milan, or that Redknapp will cut him any slack at all. It would take a minor miracle for this to work for us.

He's a stupid boy but I'd pick him every game.

Surely this kills this thread dead?

Nonsense paper talk is still nonsense paper talk if it's from abroad.

I just don't understand why Taarabt polarises opinions in the way that he does. I think both sides of the divide think him a player blessed with incredible ability and potential; most I'm sure would pick him every game assuming he was match fit and wanted to play. I guess the pro-Taarabt faction would attribute the fact that he isn't and wants away on poor management, whilst the other side would put most of the fault squarely at his door.

Perhaps Warnock was best at managing him, but the former's autobiography tells a tale of a somewhat laissez-faire style of management towards the boy, whilst pleading with the rest of the squad to take a deep breath and count to ten on a regular basis. Even then, Warnock tells stories of the lad going AWOL and generally being a law unto himself. If the ends justify the means, then you'd say it was a successful managerial formula as promotion was won. But even Warnock couldn't (or didn't attempt to) repeat the trick in the Prem.

His loan at Fulham began with him offering platitudes about how the Cottagers were a family and how he was delighted to be there. He didn't play regularly and lasted half the season. I'm sure had they wanted to retain him for the remainder they could have done, but appeared not to stand in the way of Milan.

Milan, reportedly strapped for cash, are not moving heaven and earth to sign him. Nor has there yet been a clamour of other Italian clubs in for him, despite some rumour mill stuff.

He does not appear to be the first name on the teamsheet of his national team and has had various falling outs with the managers there.

So perhaps it simply boils down to the fact that the pro-Taarabts would indulge the boy a' la Warnock, and (to an extent) bugger the opinions of the rest of the squad, even if this risks the disquiet that permeated the dressing room like a cancer the last time QPR were in the Prem?

If that's not right, then would somebody please set it out in clear and concise English - DT, you're excused - so that I can understand exactly how you would manage Taarabt (and the rest of the squad in light of this) particularly given that he apparently wants away anyway.

As I've said before, I'd love to see a fit and motivated Adel Taarabt playing for QPR and realising his full potential in the Hoops. But you can only really help those that show some desire to help themselves, otherwise it's an exercise in futility.

Possibly- it could just be Harry's way of telling Milan that we're not selling unless they stump up the cash though.

I think you've put it in a nutshell there Uber, it really is down to Adel to show whether he will make the most of his talent or be remembered as another who squandered it all...

Worried that after all the fuss over Remy's medical that Italians have discover that Adel has a hole in the head?

Yeah, that's a good point. But he's surely not going on strike otherwise he wouldn't travel with the squad.
Having said that, who knows what the **** goes through that guy's noggin.
