Surely if he wants to join us then Swansea don't have much of a choice

I heard something about him taking legal action against them.

Surely something like 2.5-3mil is a fair offer?

So that makes the idea of a release cause almost pointless then. Whats the point in having one, if the club are just going to turn round say "No, you're not going".

maybe it's just as "youcan talk to clubs without our permission" clause, if such things exist

The clause only allows clubs to talk to the player in this case, it's not a release clause as such.

Well then we should end it here!

Surely he's not worth more than what we offered?

I think we just misunderstood the clause, we'd probably pay more now we understand the situation, and that he is seeking legal advice.

If there's a £1 million release clause in his contract then surely there's nothing they can do if we meet that.

He is not that good and would probably struggle to get in your first team. Why he wants to move and get splinters in his arse warming your bench for a few years only he knows. But there again if you want to offer silly money for him I will drive him up to you myself, because we do not want any player who does not want to be with us. This season is going to be hard enough for us as it is without carrying passengers.

    Swansea clutching at straws.

Is this meant to imply that we have payed £1m to Swansea to talk to N.Taylor but they have now rejected our offer. Pull the other one

That if we bid £1mil to sign the player we're allowed to talk to the player whether Swansea except the bid or not
