It also goes onto say that he did have a clause in the contract that if anyone bids £2.5m, he can request to talk to the team - so fair play to Danny for not pushing the issue and the club getting that extra Million!!
Ok cheers Leo With this interview and the previous one he did after leaving, that is how you want most players to leave (if they have to). He seems very thankful we took that chance on him and wasn't just going to go at the first sign of a bt more cash! His stock is possibly at his highests so can't really deny him that chance. He seems to have done right by the club, and we have done right by him....
Interesting news as well, which isn't exactly Watford-related. Mackail-Smith has turned down moves to both Norwich and QPR. Leicester have had a bid accepted, and West Ham are apparently going in for him again. Any reason why he wouldn't go to a Prem side? Is it he doesn't feel ready to make a 2-division step or he felt the offers were just wrong... (This is not me saying we will go for him as he is way out of our price range)
