Indy's hit the nail on the head, it's the Underdog Syndrome, innit.

Nobody gives a s**t about Syria because they're just killing each other, Isis running riot and making up their own laws.

Systematic exterminations by Isis of their 'own people', going completely unnoticed. Israel kills a few (in comparison) and all the s**t hits the fan.

Totally agree, all Hamas has to do is stopthrowing rockets & using the tunnels against Israel. At least Israel is a country prepared to defend itself, we aren't, not till it's to late!

Well, let's face facts, the western nations stood by when Yugoslavia fell into civil war, why is that?
Well Yugoslavia didn't have oil did they?
We were sent there under the UN flag as a peace keeping force.
I saw a Croatian soldier kill a woman with a hammer, that still haunts me to this day as there was nothing I could do about it.
There's nothing I'd have loved better than to slot the fat **** but I didn't have the authority to do so.

It wasn't until the aftermath of Srebenica massacre that we finally got the go ahead to go in.
And I can tell you now, it wasn't ****ing pretty.

Billy putting the truth out there, for all to see.. People harp on about the western world doing nothing.. It's ok sat there in front of your tv watching the news, wanting action, cos you will not be the one putting their life at stake, for something that has **** all to do with the western world..

Looking back at history, just how many yanks or british went into cambodia, whilst pol pot, was massacring over a million of his own peope? that's right, zero.

Less pressure back then though Comm, everything revolves around social ****ing media now, every tom dick and harry are given a platform to voice their own opinion, and it seems the more controversial you are, the louder you seem to speak on line.

Armchair warriors pretending they have all the answers from behind a keyboard is what is wrong with society, you are dead right pal. Think how many of the ****ing idiots saying "We need to intervene", would have the bollocks to don some kevlar, and pick up a few mags and get the job done themselves... very few.

There's gonna be no let up..

Thousands more Israeli troops are to join the fight in Gaza, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promising to destroy Hamas tunnels "with or without a ceasefire".

Some 16,000 additional troops are joining the operation in Gaza "to allow troops on the ground to rest", said an army spokeswoman.

The boost takes the number reservists involved to 86,000.

Israel has ordered its ground forces to locate and destroy a warren of cross-border tunnels that Hamas has used to menace southern towns and army bases.

There's a vid on liveleak of this, tunneling into some military compound and they do over a few soldiers. Fact is, these tunnels don't just go to military bases, they have been found under cities and residential areas.

There's only one way to deal with terrorists, if you associate alongside them then you run a risk of dying yourself, there comes a time to relinquish pride, otherwise you will perish.

`A UN official who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity has said at least one shell hit two classrooms in the school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

The shelling is thought to have taken place in the Jabaliya refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the relief agency has confirmed the discovery of rockets piled up in a UN-run school for the third time within a week.`The UN had not named the group responsible for hoarding arms inside its shelter on previous occasions as well.`

And from the Hamas leader who`s bravely hiding somewhere -

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas figure has released an audio recording vowing more attacks on Israel, potentially disrupting the yet-elusive ceasefire.

According to the Associated Press, reclusive Hamas leader Mohammad Deif said: "We don't accept any condition of ceasefire. There is no ceasefire without the stop of the aggression and the end of the siege," adding that the Hamas fighters are "eager for death".

I'm shocked at how many people are willing to accept that Israel bombing sleeping children is a price that has to be paid.

They are nothing more than terrorists.

Well their eagerness for death, is about to be granted...Shame that they couldn't give a flying fook about all the others, that are not so eager.

Hamas are being so unreasonable here, but they are a terrorist group, why are so many innocent people having to suffer for the actions of a terrorist group?

I saw a post about a situation where France were digging tunnels, what if an English terrorist group was digging tunnels into France and in response France started bombing your home? It's not right

Same as i'm shocked at how many seem to think it's ok for Hamas to fire rockets, trying to kill ordinary Israeli's.

You're also privy to a lot of propaganda mate, the Israeli's and Palestinians are the very worst for exchanging this kind of blow with each other to fight for who can be perceived as the bigger victim. The mentality of a Muslim is that their home is their kingdom, nothing is more important than their pride and honour, don't forget the propaganda will have you believe that Israel have just waded in without prior warning but in reality, it could be and really probably is much different.

Israel have accepted a ceasefire to get aid into Gaza a few times just this week, but Hamas are saying 'absolutely not'.

If our country were harbouring terrorists that were targeting and seeking out to eradicate the French, then yes, I'd fully expect the French to retaliate and protect themselves by any means possible. They'd probably achieve this by running away, but that's by the by, they're French.

It's much more unfair that people are starving to death and there are treatable pandemics across Africa, and that people in huge numbers are having their heads cut off for 'not conforming to Islam' by extremists. The figures I can dig up are astounding, and in the case of Israel vs Hamas, the collateral damage doesn't even register in comparison.

Two wrongs don't make a right, ever, but this is a war Hamas wants and Israel has every right to locate and compromise terrorism from their country's borders in my opinion.

Take away propaganda and the cold hard fact is that innocent people are dying & Israel bombed a site that they were told 17 times by the UN was a shelter for displaced people, families who left their home to avoid being bombed in the first place. While I appreciate Israel's right to protect themselves, like I said to com, for me bombing children is unjustifiable. The killing of innocent people has to stop, while civilian casualties are a part of war, this isn't a war between two countries, it's a country against a terrorist group

Like I said, Hamas are being ridiculous, but I don't think that the people of Gaza, who's lives aren't great anyway have to suffer so greatly for the actions of a terrorist group.

It's not like Gaza are harbouring Hamas, the people in Gaza have nowhere to go

I agree that there are other truly awful things going on in the world, this world is absolutely ****ed, especially parts of Africa, and when I think about it I don't think it's at all fair I am living a life so privileged where many children don't have food or water. But just because there are other awful things going on doesn't make the stuff going on in Gaza any less shocking to me.
