Well - we're now well off-topic (Southampton comparison), but here's my take on it: If you look at the OWS, you'll see the new badge (Tiger shield and 1904) alongside 'Hull City Tigers'...... 1/ Hull City Tigers is the company name. 2/ The badge is changed, but still has the same Tiger's head (so it's been changed without being changed!) There are two possible readings of this, that I can see: 1/ We're still on the way to AA's stubborn plan to re-name the Club 2/ He's given up, but won't admit it, so he's changed the badge to get rid of 'Hull City AFC'
The club is bought when in dire financial trouble by an elderly man, who has no knowledge of football but is incredibly wealthy. Rapid promotion to the PL, success on the field and the money is increased to fund the development of the club. Investment in the infrastructure of the academy takes place. A great squad playing football, the like of which the supporters have never seen before, sets the tone for a great season. In the background there a undercurrents of discontent as changes take place that upset not only the fans but former players. The club is rumoured to be for sale, but nothing is said in public. No one really cares as everything looks rosy and anyway who would buy a club that owes its owners so much. "Who lives in a house like this." As Grossman would say.
I recall the reason the CTWD committee gave for not releasing those minutes, was they would be damaging to the club. Now i know we,re all naturally nosey bastards on here, but why would any of us want to damage the club ? I'm no different to anyone else, i'd love to see those minutes. But not to extent that i don't mind the club taking a hit ?
Dunno if it's been said. But I'm not so much worried about being a Soton as what happens if/when Bruce leaves. So many players have cited him as the reason for them coming, that if he got sacked, or left, he could easily take a huge chunk of the team with him. Elmo, Ince, Maguire, Robertson, Aluko, etc...
No. He's generous to a fault, benevolent and lets the right people control the right things. He doesn't micro manage, and he trusts the people who work for him. For example, he does not interfere with Steve Bruce's management of football matters. It's extremely refreshing tbh.
Apologies, the response you got was from his resident arse licker. He is a megalomaniac with dictatorial control of everything.
many of you seem to want a football fan in charge of our team, someone that is fickle and makes knee-jerk reactions.
fickle adjective changing frequently, especially as regards to ones loyalties or affections. Allam : wants to change our name and he's already changed our badge. CTWD : How could fans be less fickle ?
shallow (ˈʃæləʊ — adj 1. having little depth 2. lacking intellectual or mental depth or subtlety; superficial case?? - rested!!
Not only is that a piss poor effort, but you realise you've just bumped a thread in which you've just been owned ?
Just when you think things can't get any worse for Southampton, they're being linked with Ezequiel Schelotto. Hands down THE worst player I have ever seen wear the Internazionale shirt: http://www.football-italia.net/53298/schelotto-also-saints Think David Beresford if he had more end product.
