I can't see an end to the current conflict, which is so depressing because more and more innocent people will suffer and more and more children will die. How we can stand by while so many die is appalling, I know it's complicated with the Western ties to Israel, but it's inhuman to just stand by, with the only action being taken is asking for a ceasefire that will never be honoured. The whole situation, dating back to when the Jews took Palestinian land is a mess, and one that shouldn't have been allowed to get this far. Once this current fighting stops, those that are still alive will just resent Israel even more & can you blame them?
Great image. How would we feel if our land was just taken from us? Would we happily like in a massively over-populated strip of land where our borders were controlled by the same people who took our land? No chance
They would have been avoided, and as Disco points out, had the west not got involved in the middle east there wouldn't be any hate of the West in the middle east
It's official, you are the only classless prick in Newark. Why don't you go and bite a woman nose off? That's the East Yorkshire way. What you doing in Newark? Cleaning chimneys? Prick.
Na mate Newark is full of money, well the part I go to, I'm there Friday and Saturday as it happens. That **** will bring house prices down in that area. Fish out of water. Nowt but an East Yorkshire ****. He should **** off home to his 'Jeremy Kyle' mates and 'Life on the Dole' family.
Agree mate. I don't agree with how they've gone about it but I honestly think the Jews want peace a hell of a lot more than the Arabs overestimate there.
A Channel 4 TV series called "The Promise" which is about a present day granddaughter going to Israel/Palestine where he served in 1946 gives a good insight into the history of the beginning of today's problems. Compares his efforts then and hers now and sums the problem very well. Personally,I feel America and Netinyahu have a lot to answer for.
I know Bri but ill health/stress/wine/anger is a dangerous combination on a Wednesday night - apologies if I offended anyone btw
The point I was making is that we cannot know this for sure. The one fact I do know for sure is that the region would have evolved differently, but whether that would have been for the better or for the worse is something we can only speculate on..
The whole region is ****ed up at present.. I've just watched one video in Syria, man ****ing hell..50 be headings. The n stuck on spikes..wtf.
Long post coming up... Love reading people’s opinions on stuff like this, it’s amazing how different some people can think. Israel, no matter what has the right to defend itself, just like any other nation, let’s not beat around the bush, that’s exactly what their objective is, with casualties being a bi-product inevitably. The network of underground tunnels dug by Hamas militants into Israel was life threatening to many Israeli civilians, therefore Netanyahu decided the entire network needs to go at ANY COST. If that means Palestinian civilians dying at the expense of Israeli civilians surviving then so be it. If France had tunnelled into England with a terrorist network of underground caverns to rig with bombs, then no amount of collateral would stop UK citizens wanting UK forces destroying those tunnels, you could put a million innocent French people in the ground for all I care, so long as our capital didn’t get hit (not that there’s many Brits left in London). Hamas are terrorist group and make absolutely no mistake about it, if they took Israel, the innocent Palestinians would be next on their list, for ‘not conforming to Islam’. Ironically, they’ve just disregarded their holy month to cause war. Collateral is part of any war, and as blunt as it sounds it’s a drop in the ocean if you consider what’s going on in Syria and Sudan to name just two other warzones.
Good post mate, Syria seems like hell on earth at the moment..Yet no one seems to be that bothered by their problems, why such an interest in Israel?
