He's making excuses to protect his reputation if we fail but it is his fault!!

Redknapp spunked millions of pounds on short term signings- some examples:

    BAE £40,000 a week for 9 months - £1.44m
    Krancjar £45,000 for £9 months - £1.6m
    Benayoun £20,000 for 7 months - £560,000
    Ravel Morrison £15,000 for 3 months £180,000
    Maiga- £15,000 for 6 months £360,000
    Doyle £25,000 for 6 months £600,000
    Hughes £10,000 for 6 months £240,000
    Will Keane £5,000 for 6 months £120,000

Just from these examples that is £5.1m that could have been spent a lot more wisely

Easy examples of how he could have spent this better- For a start not bother with BAE as it was a given he was everything we wanted to get away from. Should have kept Suk-Young. Not bothered with Maiaga or Keane and there is Grabban paid for we’ve got an asset worth even more than we paid.

In January we could have signed Grabban for £1.5m as he nearly went to Brighton for that amount as his contract was due to expire this summer- instead he renewed his deal and in April Redknapp acknowledged he should have signed Grabban

This would also have left another £3m of change- Forshaw from Brentford, Cox from Orient? Etc etc

But his short term approach show’s it is Redknapp’s fault we are short on numbers. He hasn’t prepared properly and left us a lot more to do then we should have. Many people complained at his approach and now he is blaming everyone else and getting his excuses in early because its likely he’ll get the sack this year and or **** off to West Ham after Fat Sam goes. So as he leaves us in the lurch he can go oh I was leaving/or I failed because the club was in a mess… we only had 1 striker waa waa waaa

Harry its your fault we’re short on numbers you underachieiving puppet faced prick- stop passing the buck and take some responsibility for once in your life.

Saddest thing is his media onslaught has meant he has managed to pull the wool over the eyes of the thick masses who read his articles in the Sun and listen to him talking about triific lads, tough tough games and tbig big clubs on talk sport

Point I'm trying to make awjm is that I really doubt Adel is in a as bad shape as Arry is succeeding in getting you and others to believe. I don't doubt he's not match fit, and of course that is partly his fault. But he was fit enough about 2 months ago when he was playing well for Milan, so he would have to eaten a few people to get that bad! If Arry and his staff can't motivate Adel to get to match form that is also very much a part Arry's fault. If Seedorf can do it and Colin did it, then Arry should be able to as well. I just doubt Arry can be bothered.

Football has been littered with players who had the best skills we have ever seen but were as crazy as hell in a few ways, and weren't easy to handle, Adel is but one - Gascoigne, Best, George, Suarez, and our own Stanley occur to me immediately. That's the way it is with most extreme talent unfortunately. We need Adel and Remy very much right now, and I want to see Arry playing these 2, like tonight, and stop bleating. Alone up front will help his fitness all right, and his striker shortage problem.

I'm sure there are many club owners that would be happy to make £5m available to their manager, underachieving puppet-faced prick or otherwise, if that got them into the Promised Land that is the Premier League.

If underachieving is winning promotion, albeit by the skin of the teeth, at a first attempt then just think what achieving might deliver.

Well Morrison certainly earned his keep with those goals he pulled off, that possibly got us into the playoffs, and Krancjar & Benayoun contributed too.

Harry must have a closet full of these, perhaps one growing down at Sandbanks?

"Olive branch extended and inserted into Bosingwa" would've been more apt.

Point I'm making is that it was his responsibility to bring players in that could take the club forward. The bulk of his signings last year contacts ended at the end of the season so why is he surprised we are short on players. Morison was well worth it. The rest are definitely questionable and also have produced the position we are in, which is short on numbers

He chose the short term approach. He was only able to make permanent signings by making 2 seriously expensive buys especially pre the new tv by championship standards in Phillips and Austin- both good and he was fortunate to be in that position.

What he chose not to do was make those £1m-ish or less signings that can contribute or at least be sold (as they are assets) so that he can reinvest in new players.

The only example he has of this is Karl Henry...

Warnock managed to bring in Mackie, Orr, Derry, Hill, Kenny, Helguson and Adel. All of these contributed in our 1st season up again and beyond or where sold on again

Harry chose a short term approach so needs to accept some of the responsibility for the position we now find ourselves in... he wont though of course. He'll bitch and moan and ask for more and more millions

Partly his fault ??? Who else's fault would it be ?? It is totally his fault !!

2 months is more than long enough to lose the vast majority of any match fitness.

Many moons ago, in my marathon running days, it was generally accepted that if you didnt run for 2 weeks, you would lose 50% of your fitness.

And having been injured a few times, I can pretty much vouch for that time and loss of fitness.

You may be right, Damage. But the thought occurs to me that at the start of last season we had a relegated club full of under-performing players on expensive contracts that nobody wanted to take permanently off our hands. Look at the loans: Taarabt to Fulham, Park to PSV, Mbia to Sevilla, Remy to Newcastle. Maybe there were more, I can't remember off the top of my head. I think Redknapp and Fernandes couldn't add yet more permanent signings until the books were balanced and some of these expensive misfits were gone. Redknapp did one of the only things open to him, which was to get in players he knew could do a job, and it worked somehow. I don't think we fully understand the parlous financial state the club would've been in had that promotion not been won. The price of failure could've been catastrophic. The price of success is the present difficulty. It's the lesser of two evils.

It is quite likely to be partly the Club's fault as well as Adel's, if Adel is not fit - and I think that responsibilty must be with with Arry, Did Adel have a training programme? Does Adel fast? Was this accounted for in any training schedule? I got no idea. Is Adel getting fit now? I seriously doubt that many of our squad are fit enough, but we will see.

I don't expect Adel is match fit now. But having been that 2 months ago, I don't think he'll need more than 2 or 3 weeks to get there handled right, and if Adel and Arry will.

Redknapp really has brain washed you "the only things open to him, which was to get players he knew could do a job". That is a classic Redknapp line and obviously not true

Easiest example of his thnking being horribly short term is BAE. £1.4m wasted on a left back!!! who was definitely "not the right sort". While we already have Traore, Hill and Suk-Young who could play there.

Investing that money in Grabban is an easy example of how we would be better off regardless of what scenario you throw up. It was obvious at the time and it is obvious now.

Infuriating that he is already getting excuses in early when he should have known his short term approach last year is to blame. So stop whining. Dyche and Pearson aren't whining and never should he

Me, brainwashed by 'Arry? I don't think so. I just happen (twitch, twitch) to think he's a (twitch, twitch) top, top manager and a (twitch, twitch, arm out the car window) t'rific bloke, and certainly not a wheeler dealer and a (twitch, twitch) crook of any description.
