congerton said from the start that we would be waiting till the end of the transfer window for our signings and it looks he was correct, i know poyet wants them in as soon as possible to teach them his system, but looks like that might not happen, sometimes if you want the better players you will have to wait for the bigger clubs to sign first then we can go with people they dont need anymore or the players who were hoping for a bigger move and has to settle for a smaller move, maybe what borini is looking for so we will see
Agree whole heartedly. I don't blame players for trying hold out for better moves or taking time, they're trying to weigh up ambition, playing time and wages to try and make the right choice. I want the best players here possible myself. Wages on the continent could mean premiership teams are going to get a better pick of these players. Holding out for better while others are pelting through their business early could be a very frustrating stroke of genius. But can we just push one through this week to ease the bloody nerves!
i know exactly what you mean like just one first teamer, i know we just got a lb but we have been waiting for years for a left back
Agreed Jack, I definitely think there is a 'two tier' level of priority in Poyet's mind in his attempt to build his squad. Yes he wants his 'desirables' in place to learn his system of playing asap, but he also knows that once every club including those throughout Europe, start to move players in and out, they will be so many players surplus to requirements, players who may have to be sent out on loan to ensure their own squads fit within the fair play regulations etc. We all know that loaning players out is sometimes a last resort especially when a club may prefer to sell that said player to fund new personnel, but in the end realise that they are forced to send some players out on loan at the death of the transfer window to make room for their own 'desirables' We, like every other club, will have to be very astute during the eleventh hour and I'm sure Congerton and Co have their tagets informed now. .........It's just a matter of time........time that is doing my napper in !!
What a loads of ****ing ****...Did you think of this ****e all by yourself? Only so many so called bigger teams..... ffs.
even in general as more money is spent more money is available to other clubs from sales ect, money filters down from the top and player become available that were not before, or players that you want you cant have until a replacement is found ect its all a waiting game and congerton said that from the start
Just what the **** is that meant to mean? Prem clubs (inc safc) are part of the problem why the english game is ****ed.. ****s like wickham, a wannabe, holding out for 49k a week, where in lowere league, ****s are busting their arse for a chance. I love safc, but i despise the organisation it bows down to.
so do i, skys the problem!! its now a money game not about the love or the sport id play for safc and give 150% for the wage im on now which is like a weeks wage for most of them instead of a year but its how it is untill the money goes we just have ti get on with it cause i know non of this is going to stop me loving sunderland or the sport!
Is it ****...they are mearly cashing in,,,,,,It's the greedy clubs one of which is safc, that are milking the cash cow....
I really have no idea mate.. Although i lie to see safc doing well, i;m disgusted at the the club being part of the bigger picture.. England created football.. Now the big league is washing history down the bog...The prem league does not give a flying **** about the future of the game, nor the lower leagues, where the next england players come from... They take the money, and **** the future of the game,,
You can rage against the machine Comm but theres no going back to how things used to be, in the so-called good old days. The aim is just to still be standing when and if it all settles down.
