I think the PFA would probably have something to say if a club was taking that line. Players do have a union of sorts and it would not be good for the club long term to take that stance. We are seeing 'player power' in action through all this and hopefully a few more people are realising that it is unbalanced in favor of the players.
The board are saving face showing the fans why they have been selling. The players have got too big for their boots and want a pay rise at a bigger club. We can't do anything to stop them. So lets rinse the buyers for all they got and replace them. EDIT: I should read second page
The way out for both parties is for Morgan to agree to stay one more season or at least until January if he is promised a move (but keep it under wraps and never tell the fans). By January/next summer, the team will be more stabilised. Meanwhile, he plays superbly for us.
This is what it feels like to be a Saints fan.
Merged it with the rest of the Morgan discussion instead, now that it appears to be a non-story. We have enough threads on the go at the moment as it. So one less is nice.
If he gives us enough of a reason to dislike him we could call him Schrodinger's Twat. Even better when it rhymes. I don't think he's a twat (yet) though.

Who is this third party? They've been stirring for a long time now, it would seem... this has Levy's grubby hands all over it.
