Zlatan Imbrahimovic (Slightly off topic)

I'm just wondering why quite a lot of people don't rate this bloke?

He may be inconsistent in his performances, but 21 goals in 39 games last season for Milan is a good tally.

He wasn't great for Barca, but he's a great player.

The power he gets on some of his shots and headers is unbelievable.

I'd definitely have him, but i'm not suggesting we bid for him because we have no chance what so ever of getting him. This article isn't implying we should get him, it's just querying some people's thoughts on him.

He scored more this season for AC Milan, than David Villa did for Barcelona, and he works better with the team. I'd probably say Imbra on form is probably one of the best strikers in the world.

 

I was strictly speaking about FIFA 11 Tash, he doesn't fit into my counter attacking play is all. He's a class player none the less!

 

Never rated him, he is probably one of the luckiest footballer in the world, he will do nothing for 90 mins then scored a 30 yard stunner and ppl rave about him, I used to watch alot of Dutch football back in the day and when he and Mido were playing for Ajax they were trully awful, like watching 2 Shola'a, but then one would score a stunner or a lucky goal and it masked there awfulness

 

No mate, it's nothing to do about what you said. A lot of people i speak to don't rate him simply because he wasn't great at Barcelona.

 

A 30 yard stunner is lucky? He's an impact striker, can be quiet all game, one chance and he'll score. I'd definitely put him in the top 5 strikers in the world at the minute

 

I've heard many plaudits about him but every game I've seen him play; he's been unimpressive.

Perhaps it's just me jinxing him when I watch.

 

Not lucky but when he has had like 15 shots in a game he will get one right in the end, and he is one of them type of players, the amount of tap ins he miss's is unreal

He also got 12 assists.

14 in 28 in the league, his record at barca was better 16 in 29

 

I don't think you can ever attribute 5 titles in 5 years to luck. His list of accomplishments speaks for itself frankly, lazy playing style or not. He's not Maradona, and he'll never drag Sweden to a major title, but he's ruddy good.

 

And you also can't say he doesn't do anything for the team either. 21 goals AND 12 assists.

He's probably told to stand by the back four and head the ball down for players or score, because that's how he's best played.

 

He is a luxury player that will score the goals providing you give him plenty of chances. Didn't work out at Barca because he isn't a technical player, so didn't fit in with how they play. He is a good striker but he isn't any where near world class. Plus I think he would get demolished in the Prem.

When I say luxury player I mean you may as well be playing with 10 men for 80 minutes.

 

His reputation wasn't helped by being the replacement for Eto'o, who'd been so consistent at Barca for years. I'm not sure how I feel about Zlatan? But I've liked Samuel since he showed up on the international scene as a teen, so I think I might have been biased in how I rated Ibra's showing there.

So what if he is inconsistent? If he scores goals and gets assists no one should care.

Imbrahimovic can be immense at times ie.

But also a twat at times as well ie.
