1) It's her club, she always has financial control. If you're saying that Cortese had to be deposed because he wasn't doing his job as chairman and would continue to defy the owner and possibly sabotage her plans, then yes Cortese had to be fired just like all ****ty employees need to be fired. Not sure how that's a point in his favor. 2) He quit, dude. If he was so vested in the club why did he just quit in the middle of the season? And if money was his primary motivation, then his loyalty would be to his employer who actually writes his paycheck, and not some mythical club concept. 3) We probably had some room under FFP regulations. We can lose 35m every season, so long as the owner injects 35m every season. Probably KL did not wish to do that.

Obviously this is a nervous time to be a Saints fan but I guarantee you'll all be happier in a weeks time. I'm hearing Van Dijk, Forster, Redmond and Ings are all in talks with us. I expect them all to happen... with at least two of them done by Sunday. The club ARE interested in Vlaar as well but Aston Villa will do everything they can to try and persuade him to stay.

Copied from skysports .... Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has admitted he plans to meet with his agent to hold talks over his future. The Holland international impressed with his displays at the back during the World Cup in Brazil this summer as the 2010 finalists finished in third place, leading to speculation over a summer switch. Come and have a chat with uncle Ron,Ralph ,Les...
