I love the way you've hung a gold medal around McFadden's neck already. He's made the QF and that's good, but no cigar yet. Not yet. McFadden may well go on to win gold and good luck to him in his attempt. I like him. He's got that cockiness and arrogance that a fighter needs. He is energetic, determined and not afraid to trade punches. If he does win his competition he will deserve the medal. He'll have fought and beaten some good boxers. But if he doesn't, then you're going to look a right eejit, aren't you, mate.....
Yes, it's called a long memory. It can take me back some 60+ years. You'd be amazed at the things it can recall. Some of the things it can recall are the number of gobby individuals who have been boastful and arrogant about what others are going to do on their behalf, before the event has taken place, only to see "their man" fall before achieving victory. And no matter how much they try to brazen it out, yes.... they look like eejits. He'd better hope McFadden wins, eh..?

How will I look like an eejit if McFadden doesn't win gold. Have I at any time said he would win gold ?
