    Failures

I don't think Lallana will thrive at Liverpool, and will turn out to be a massive waste of money. His last season at Saints was arguably his peak anyway, now he has to go from a team built around him that he's been with for years, to a brand new team where he has to prove himself. An expensive bench warmer.

Chambers will go to waste at Arsenal. They have just signed Debuchy, and Arsene has a proven track record of taking players from Saints and not realising their full potential.

Schniederlin; had an underwhelming last season at Saints. I get the feeling he won't set the world alight at Spurs either, although I can't quantify it, just a feeling.

    Successes

Shaw is a beast of a left back and the only thing to stop him dominating for years to come would be injury.

Lambert; The guy is worth 4 mil, even if he only plays 50% of one season. He'll get goals and assists.

Lovren; Solid defender, exactly what Liverpool need. I imagine he'll slot into their team the the same consummate ease he slotted into ours.

I think they'll all do well because they're all great players. This is/was reflected in their price tags sadly.

Shaw could easily let the fame, etc go to his head a la Wilshire. The fact that he returned from Brazil unfit should be ringing alarm bells and I think Van Gaal will need to wave the big stick to get the best (beast?) out of him!
Much as I love Rickie, I very much doubt he will get more than 5 or 6 games, even as a bench-warmer, as his team (I don't want to speak their name) seem to have been buying everyone. So, unless there's an injury, I doubt he'll see much. Pity, because if he did form a decent partnership with the muppet Sturridge, it might have helped England .........

Luke: Will succeed if he doesn't let early success and big money go to his head...minor blips show that he can be silly...may become very silly away from Saints' control.

Rickie: Hope he enjoys his last fling. Wish he could be our back up striker...probably only get cameos at Liverpool.

Dejan: Had periods when he faded at Saints; Fonte had to step up on some occasions. However, he will do okay for the bindippers.

Chambers: Set his career back a couple of years...decent career beckons.

Lallana: Played well for us, but initially appeared overwhelmed in the PL. Peaked when the team was playing well as a whole. Could be okay, but jury out. Liverpool could be the making of him.

I think Lallana has a good chance of being a success, but if his shooting doesn't improve, that could well be the undoing of his Mersey fling. I don't think they will be as patient with him.

Chambers, Lallana and Jay will fail. The rest will be as good if not better than they were for us. I hope Rickie finishes his career with a bang, he deserves it. Don't care about the others but can't see Schneiderlin, Lovren or Shaw failing to be honest.

I still find it hard to believe that a club will come in and pay big bucks for J-Rod.

I struggle to see where Lallana is going to fit in to the Liverpool side, with all of the players they are signing, along with Coutiniho, Sterling and even Henderson. Hope he enjoys playing in the cup competitions, and being an "impact" sub.
Lovren will do fine, Lambert will play a few games, Shaw may struggle to start with, but will be a great player in time, Chambers will play a few cup games, but will hardly been seen for a couple of years unless Debuchy gets crocked, and even then may find his way blocked by Jenkinson.

Lovren, Lallana and Chambers to not live up to expectations, Shaw, Schneiderlin (IF he goes) and Lambert to do well.

Want all to fail bar Lambert, Scheniderlin and, to an extent, Shaw. If any have sell on fees regarding us, then I want them to do fantastic. :)

Honestly feel that Utds 352 system will not suit Shaw, very easy for him to be dropped for a player with better end product

I don't understand why some posters feel that 5 minutes ago they were Saints legends, now they are rated lower than shark ****?
Apart from SRL and maybe Luke they have all acted very, very badly, but I wouldn't want to see them fail miserably, when the dust settles they will still be ex-Saints.

I agree. He had what, one assist last season? He has great potential but needs to work extremely hard on his end product if he will be a hit in that formation.

Who exactly? Because Theo banged in 20+ goals in his last fully fit season and was looking on par for the same before his injury. Chambo's was inconsistent a bit at the start of the season but then came into his own when he got a good run of games.
