Bruce has said Maguire has been signed for the development squad, though Robertson has been signed for the first team and he's a year younger. I expect Maguire will get his chance in cup games and if he performs, he'll get his chance in the first team.
2 signing which could turn out to be excellent for the club, always a bit of a risk when they are young and coming from lower leagues, but I am sure SB and his team have had them watched and see potential in them both. Robertson, I am really interested to see how he plays.

I know Maguire is tall, like 6'4 but didn't realise Robertson was so small! looks like a mascot stood next to Harry. Delighted with both signings, but Robertson in particular, there was some mentalist Scots bloke trying to claim he'd be better than Shaw this season on one of the news now links......hope he's right

Age wise I think we're OK. Brady, Dudgeon, Ince are all younger than Livermore. Chester and Meyler both 25

Would it not make more sense to send him out on loan? He's not going to develop as a player in the reserves, he needs to be playing competitive games.
Whilst we are still in the EL and COC he wont be going anywhere. We need all the legs we can get to cope.
altidore has a couple years on ronaldo so he'll improve too shaw is overrated, robertson will be the better player
