I can't work it out at all, the new guy is not the type of striker I though we needed but Watt is, he's older and probably has less experience of football at a decent level than Watt, he isn't going to get as much leeway as Watt from the fans.
Watt's obviously a wee dick. Delia obviously seen enough to decide to get him to ****! I watched a video on Celtic TV of them training ... the wee fanny was putting in half the effort. He spent most of the time playing keepy uppies...
That's 3 managers in the space of 1 season who've had enough of him. Lennon, Menzo & Deila. I wanted it to work out as he's blessed with a lot of talent but as you say he's the epitome of a wee dick.
The worst thing he did, in terms of his own development, was score that goal v Barca! Great for Celtic but I think that, and his agent, probably filled his head with a load of ****e that he was good enough for the first team.
Southampton hope to sign a keeper and defender by end of week. Here is hoping they are not Celtic players
If Southampton want to give Celtic close to £20m for a goalie and a defender who has had a decent season with us then I say let them. Pragmatism before romanticism.
Well the whole world knows they are cash rich at the minute so I suppose no better time to fleece them, I just fear who they'll be replaced by. If Celtic get to the cl proper, then I really fear watching good teams rip us a new arsehole
Thems the breaks. I'd happily take a few roastings off better teams, as that's the harsh reality of Scottish fitba, if it means the club bank £20m from transfers & £20m+ from CL money. Van Dijk is a cracking player but much like Wanyama any decent bid needs to be snapped up. Forster wants to try himself at a better level and has been 4 seasons at the club, fair play to him. The days of Larsson, Sutton & Hartson etc. are gone. We're going to take our licks if we make the CL, no matter if Van Dijk & Forster are there or no.
Who said the club are "banking" it and not spending it? This is a discussion for rational adults. Away back to drooling and feverish onanism.
i read something somewhere (canny mind where) that said the board was storing cash for when the new huns get into the top flight. the thought process was it was to blow them away if they had a warchest. i am not too concerned about the lack of signings given some of the ****e lenny bought, he bought for the sake of buying at times (balde and boerigter). If vvd does go I would hope we sign a centre half or two. i would even take a season of no champs league if it meant the younger guys got a genuine chance
We we are to hold off signing players until we know if we are in the champions league or not then we should hold off selling certain players until we have played the qualifiers.
Football is fecked for wee countries like us , 4/5 million pound players now want 50 /60 grand a week, we might be able to pay the fee but no way the wages . Uefa have looked after the big countries , look at Hull never played in Europe and have a Co - efficent of 17 and are seeded all the way an utter joke .
If Celtic get champions league, some money will be spent...say 5 to 6 m If Celtic get Europa league , less will spent, say 2 to 3 m No Europe...no cash spent Celtic as a club in a small league can't afford to splash every penny they earn. Also, they gave to plan in case rangers get into the top league and don't go tits up/get some investment I see the long term goal to always be the team trying to get champs league each season...
It's is a joke re wages! Crazy ...Shaw at man u on 100k It's not really the team , it's overall and English teams do well in Europe
