Gylfi much better than JDG. We've talked with his agent, but now that Villarreal are back in La Liga, I think they want to keep him, though he wants to come back to us.
is this how garry monkdoes his business? if so pity you don't have any players we want cos we blew 50mil on southampton players for no reason.
well that one was a split ovte and not all that shocking other than if you've actually seen the guy play of course.
I don't know enough about him to make any informed comment. But he is one of those players who gets talked about in the media every time the 'window' opens. As for Lovren then I think I'd be more than a little comcerned if I saw the nature of departures that he was seeing during his last days at Southampton. Anyway, we forgave Suarez after he declared that he wanted out.
Lavezzi is a definite no for me. He's a horrible finisher, doesn't create enough and is overly reliant on pace, which is a problem given he's 29.
If two brilliant defenders who only retired recently rate him thats good enough for me
I just hope we didn't pull out of the Remy deal to bring in a less talented player with bigger name value like Lavezzi. Not that I was blown away by Remy either, but at least he'd have brought us goals.
I'd have taken him a few years ago but not now as he's too old. I actually mentioned him before we signed Suarez. He is a hard worker like Suarez, Tevez, Rooney etc, his finishing isn't that bad and he has bags of pace too.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28542225 Southampton's Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Schneiderlin 'not for sale' So either they are staying or chairman Ralph Krueger's position is untenable
would you as a saints fan believe that bollocks, how many of their players have been not for sale and ended up sold? and we thought we had bad owners, obviously dif reasons etc but still, wtf.
I hope it's true! Really don't want us to move for Rodriguez and Schneiderlin would strengthen most of the sides we're competing with for top four.
Not for sale = fee not big enough yet Queue transfer requests, cancellation of loyalty clauses and more profit for the owners to pocket
I'd have preferred him to the other Southampton players we have signed, except maybe Lovren. But he'd be another £20m+ and we already have some depth in his position, so I'd sooner see the money go to a quality forward or either fullback positions.
