That's the word all over Twitter.
    Would suit all parties IMHO.

Would be great if we got him, even on loan. However, I don't understand why PEA is being moved on from Dortmund, he did ok for them last season.

Wow! I heard we were close to loaning a player from Germany but was trying not to get my hopes up. Thanks ACS for the frustration when this turns out to be inaccurate.

I'd literally pipe off fat Mike wearing a Pink tutu in front of the Gallowgate if we got PEA.

I'll let you off that one, that would be very upsetting to witness if we actually got this guy.

So, the rumours are we are offering loan deals for Aubameyang, Ferreyra and Remy. Looks like having spent most of the Cabaye and Debuchy money that might be it for permanent signings. Loans for the rest of the strengthening we need and all moneys not generated by player sales untouched and left in the bank.

I think I read it was £10million rising to £12m for Debuchy and £20million rising to £25m+ for Cabaye. Outgoings... £1.5million Ayoze, £6million Siem, £7.5million Cabella, £6.5million Riviere, £6million Janmaat.

There's an argument that you should add £1-2m for each deal (both in and out) for loyalty payments, signing on fees, agents fees etc. etc. That's an extra £10m, more if there were any sell on clauses.

I don't really look at the incomings and outgoings personally. I don't mind if we fully staff the squad on less than we have gained from sales. That sounds like good business to me. Our problem is we never quite do enough to break out from the mid table. That's because to do that we'd need to deviate away from this plan to be completely sustainable. Ashley will never be interested in putting any more money onto the table, he is trying to do the opposite! That is not a criticism. We just have to hope that we can gradually work our way towards getting a fully staffed squad while achieving the financial targets. Pardew has clearly done quite well in this regard as far as Ashley is concerned.

I completely side with this. I couldn't care less if we make a profit every window/season provided we get the players in.
Honestly, if we sold Oberton for £40m but got Ronaldo on a free I reckon some people would moan about fatty lining his pockets.

He has left us woefully short at times and that's frustrating but I don't concern myself with him making money.
If he wants to spend some money though I'd like Lukaku and Shawcross please

I agree that it is not a criticism that we may make money during a transfer window or in most of them. Spending money is not a virtue in itself.

On the other hand, the fact that we haven't spent money becomes a concern when we haven't covered our weak areas. You can excuse a club for not buying a desperately needed striker if they simply don't have the cash. It is harder to excuse when the club needs a striker, has the cash and just prefers to keep it in the bank. Unless some deal is being done for a striker as we speak, that's the situation we are in at the moment.
