Thats a bit unfair mate. Why if they dont agree with you dont they have a clue. what make you and your mate right. The game is all about differing opinions and just because they differ from yours doesnt mean they have a clue.

As for JDG I wuld have no problem with him coming back. I think he is an asset to our squad and yes van gaal is no mug and for him to include JDG in his squad means something. However I dont think he irreplacable and we will be more than able to cope with him without him in the squad.

The only thing i will say, last year if he wasnt in the team i didnt feel any disappointment. But, when others were out i would think '**** i wish he was playing today'

So yes I would welcome him back. Is he replaceable I believe yes as well.

How about not tracking back and tackling when in midfield. I consider that a big bloody weakness. I'd also argue that JDG only made the Dutch WC team because of the lack of strength in depth in their midfield.
Just because others disagree with you doesn't mean you know more than them <doh>

I would like to see JDG back. He is a different type of player to Siggy, is more versatile and although not the greatest tackler could probably play the defensive midfield role.

Disagree here. For me he's an AM not a DM. Played well in that position for Monk with Leon and Jonjo behind him.

JDG, for me, was no good as anything other than an AM/winger

He doesn't track back, and when he does its at a laboured pace, we need more for someone sitting in the middle, too many times last season did he fail to put in any effort to get back, that either resulted in a goal, or at least an attempt on goal that he could have put under pressure had he shown a bit of effort.

A good player, when on the ball, there is no doubt about that, but when off the ball, he is championship quality.

Would I have him back, yes, but someone needs to sort him out in regards to his off the ball effort.

I think he is a smart player , good movement, blocks of opponents play well. maybe he could tackle a bit harder, but sometimes under ML he looked a bit knackered so some more off the ball training perhaps. but definitely good enough for a top half premier league club I think

I'd have him back. Played the winger and attacking midfielder role very well for us late in the campaign last season. Also, Rangel seemed to look more solid with JDG sat in front of him on the wing. Put in some great balls for Bony off that right wing too. I was up at the Newcastle game and he played very well out wide - you could see his positional awareness pretty clearly with the view from the Gods up there. Additionally, Norwich at home last year showed his ability to link up with Bony effectively. Yes, he has his flaws, but hopefully through bringing Ki back, and with Britton and Jonjo playing in the more defensive roles too, the squad can cover his weakness and allow him to play higher up the pitch where he belongs.

Jonathan de Guzman future uncertain, admits Swansea City boss Garry Monk

By South Wales Evening Post | Posted: July 29, 2014

"THE future of Jonathan de Guzman remains in doubt after Garry Monk reported no progress in talks to bring him back to Swansea City.

Dutch international de Guzman has stated that he wants a return to Wales and Swansea are keen to get him.

But the midfielder is under contract at Villarreal for another two seasons, and Monk admitted: "I haven't spoken to him.

"I know the club have made contact with his agent. They have had discussions and got his views but that's as far as it has gone." Swansea look short of central midfielders, particularly with Leon Britton and Jay Fulton out injured.

And stories continue to circulate suggesting Aston Villa want Ki Sung-Yueng."

Not a huge fan of JdG but I'd prefer him to Ki -- a player who wants be at Swansea and a player who doesn't surely the sale ozone would offset the purchase of the other.

There again we are in greater need of a LB, RB & DM

As Villearal are back in the top tier wouldn't surprise me that they will only be prepared to sell him and maybe we are only interested in a loan again. Although he has said he would like to stay he has also had talks with them and they have said they have plans for him for next season. So I don't think it is as easy as he wants to stay and we can keep him on loan on his current deal anyway.

Yet you heaped abuse on Danny Graham, and he scored 12 league goals, that's 50% more than JDG. <doh>

Note to Valley: Re your point: "Just because others disagree with you doesn't mean you know more than them"

Of course not. Never said I did....and yes my comment was deliberately out of character.

Note to swanselona: Telling other posters they are "talking ****" implies you think you know more than them.

Hope you get the point. <ok>
