If we play 3 at the back, then Brady becomes an option at WB. And if we have a back four, don't be surprised if SB picks Rosey at LB early in the season if he doesn't think Robertson can step right in. (Not that I'd be keen on that UNLESS we were playing against a team with a very talented left-footed RW.)
I hope not. We was good a couple of seasons ago. Looked over the hill last season. But, if Brucey thinks he can get something out of him, well I guess that is enough.
Ian Tulloch @TigerTully is saying on Twitter , that Brede Hangeland HAS signed already for Hull CITY. details shortly.
He's mentioned on his twitter that Hangeland and Maguire have signed, no mention of Robertson though, this is the one I want to go through most.
Hmmm... I can't see how Hangeland improves what we already have. If true, can't see us also bringing in Michael Dawson now even if he gets his payoff from Spurs.
He's in a profession that offers short term contracts with the expectation that you'll have to move around a bit. He's unlikely to remain London centric his entire career. It's not like Hull is the other side of the world. He's still a fanny.
Bruce has been looking for experience at the back, Lescott,Dawson, i suppose he's just had to settle for plan C. Can't be helped....
Hmm I'm not sure on a centre half who was a key component in one of the worst Premier League defences - possibly ever?
I think Hangeland has gone down the dip but he is experienced, and free. In a back three, I reckon he'd be solid. You can see the appeal for Brucie.
Well, if Hangeland is true, one thing that he does bring is a wealth of Premier league experience with 6 years with Fulham and European experience. He would certainly not be my choice 1st choice, let alone 3rd choice as it look, but has got things to offer to hopefully help us consolidate in the league for 1 more year.
