Well, it may be unpopular with opposing supporters, but the measure of the ground is how so many so-called 'big' clubs hate coming here because of the atmosphere we can generate in our 'poor' stadium.

Give me Loftus Road over some soulless plastic place anyday. I'm specifically thinking of Reading's "SadStad", Leicester's Crisp Bowl and of course, the KFC Bucket.

Maybe your nickname but you objected strongly when the owner wanted to incorporate it into the official name:emoticon-0100-smile

    +1

I really couldn't give a rats a#se about other fans slating Loftus Road and you're so right Willy, you lot making as much noise and being as intimidating as you can could be the difference between survival and relegation.
The implosion of that Chelsea side a couple of years ago was a joy to behold, even viewing from here in Melbourne you could sense something was unfolding. In fact I enjoyed it more than the 6-0 hammering we gave them on that lovely Easter Monday.

Away fans just need to 'harden the f#ck up', a term we use a lot in this part of the world usually aimed at visitors to these shores. :)

You're just not familiar with my memory for things like this, or my connection with your club being more than just a casual one where we've played you a few times. After the "bombers" game I was on your OWS forum as a regular poster until it closed. The game I think the nickname came from I wasn't even at. I saw we'd won 2-1 from being behind through 2 Stuart Elliott goals, so what you got up to wasn't likely to bother me either way. I also saw Cook got sent off for 2 bookings, that amused me because his first booking was either his 5th or his 10th of the season. Had he just got 1 booking he'd have been suspended for the collection of yellow cards, and then come back 5 yellow cards away from his next ban for the same thing. Because he got a red card it meant he got a ban for the red card, and when he returned he was only 1 yellow card away from his next suspension. It was only after I saw your own fan writing criticising the approach of the team that I really paid any attention to the match threads to see what they'd been up to.

Plus, you've got 100s of games to think about, for us there's only 6 games it could be as it had to be one against us (I knew the nickname was from before we got promoted to the PL the first time). If it wasn't the bombers chant you're down to 5. It wouldn't have been the 2-2 at your place where we threw away the 2-0 lead and had our keeper sent off as that would make no sense, and the other 2 games at your place were both when you had a new manager in their first game (Gregory and De Canio) so that fact sticks out as being what the nickname would be about if we were going to come up with one. Other than the 2-1 that only leaves your last game against us before we got promoted, and that was a draw right at the back end of our run in. The only team I remember bothering any of us at that time was Palace.

Up to you whether you choose to believe it or not, won't change what happened either way. I've no reason to make it up, and there's people on here who've known me long enough to know I'm not the type that would.
