Understand, that, whilst we're having a chuckle- most of us don't owe Southampton any malice- and most of us hope you all pull through this largely intact in terms of quality. Yes, as an outsider, it is a little amusing- but not because of any malice... I, for one, hope Soton finish the table higher next season than this one!
We've been the butt of plenty of jokes over recent years... be it Suarez, Gerrard slipping, or a series of really poor years... Roy Hodgson taking us from European contention to fighting against relegation. In our case- most of those laughing DID mean us malice. We mean no hostility to you and sympathise with your plight (even if we make jokes... we make jokes about our own misfortunes too).

To be fair, it was a classic. You can't acheive that sort of outstanding quality on a consistent basis, just not possible.
Maybe you are not finding it funny because it has **** all to do with Neverton. Its like an inside joke and youre on the outside buddy
