What you guys think of him? Never really given a fair chance for Spurs and always seems to be playing well enough for Mexico and Spanish teams. Used to be rated so highly and as they say form is temporary class is permanent. Wouldn't mind taking him on loan with a view of buying him for £5mill end of season?

I would say we are pretty much sorted I the midfield region but another squad player would be nice. However I don't see him coming to us to play in a squad rotation system.

Although I do rate him quite highly, I also think that he is a bit lightweight for the Premiership.

    WE NEED STRIKERS NOW!!!!!

A bit concerned that we're only linked with MF's these days. Ideally IMO we need - in order of need:

    2 Strikers
1 defender RB (Possibly 2 if Jose Leaves)
    Right Winger

He scored an absolutely ridiculous goal in the Gold Cup final...so on that, yes!

Incidentally - I was thinking yesterday about which strikers we could maybe go for.

I think we need a high standard striker and a squad striker (to support Shola and Loven) and got to thinking. How about Cameron Jerome from Brum as the squad striker? Pacey, knows where the net is. Maybe I'm wide of the mark, but it was a thought.

Striker 1 - Erdinc or Sturridge
    Striker 2 - Jerome???

I think that's actually good news .. we know from past experience that the art of deflection at nufc usually wields good results with an unexpected signing popping up without all the media hysteria ..

    Would definitely take him.

I think the reason we are linked with lots of MF and not ST is cos we are only gonna play 1 upfront next season. hence we will have Ba, Erdinc, Shola, Best, Lover competing for 1 place.

I'd imagine Ben Arfa will be 'in the hole' but we don't really have much more competition in that place. Dos Santos would be excellent cover. Zog could possibly play there. Cabaye maybe. Would like to see us get Sturridge and offload Lover and have Ba, Erdinc, Best and Sturridge competing with Shola drafted in for mackems.

EDIT: Just seen the article on this. Good article

Nice to see CONCACAF getting a little attention...Mexico's always an entertaining team to watch, especially these days

That goal was brilliant. I've not actually seen him for a few seasons now, when he last played for Spurs he always looked a bit out of his depth but always looked good technically.

Got him on FM. Was decent. Like others have said - good cover, and could be back up for the Ben Arfa role behind the striker. Got great technique.

got him as backup for Ben Arfa on FM both of whom play on the right as an inside forward. Can Dos Santos play on the right in real life?

Good player, not given a fair chance at Spurs, but I wouldn't take him, would be a bit of a gamble.

that's a joke of a price for someone they don't want and just loan out to whoever (mind he might have had a good season on loan)

I think Dirty 'arry seems to have a blind spot when it comes to talented young players, he (someone) buys them, they sit there a couple years and they leave, He did it with Taarabt, the same is happening with Walker, They were on the verge of selling Bale before they had injuries, now Dos Santos, when he signed from Barca he was the next big thing and he was never been given a chance

'arry didn't sign Dos Santos, it was Juande Ramos, and 'arry hasn't given him a chance.
