I don't think that she'll pocket it directly. Instead, the club will do something like buy back the equity that the previous debt was converted to, which will have the same effect.
Just her father's money, who left her both the club and a share of his money. So unless you want to summon Markus from the after-life, she can do what the hell she wants with SFC, legally and morally.
On what level is the money not hers. She is the sole heir of her father...unless he left some to her children and his long term partner. He certainly left the club to her, though his name is still also listed (unless that is her son's name). If she sold the club all the money is hers, so she can certainly take a return on her inherited investment.
Unless you are massive debt that you can write-off, the whole is usually worth at least the sum of its parts. If Lovren could be sold for 20m, then whoever buys the club will be willing to pay 20m more for it, knowing they could just sell Lovren themselves to make up the difference. None of our players were on particularly large salaries either, so its not like you'd need to large ongoing expenses. I suppose it is possible that there were not enough interested rich patrons out there to pay 250m for the club. So selling 100m of assets and pocketing it and then selling the club for 150m might increase your odds of finding a buyer while yielding the same profit to the seller. And she has invested her own money into the club, hasn't she? Sure, the club and the money likely came from her father but it's still her money. She could have put it into something else, she put it into the club instead.
Romain Molina says Southampton are up for sale: https://translate.google.com/transl.../southampton-est-en-vente/&edit-text=&act=url
It's a trust, so yeah it's not hers until she sells, and the club is a separate entity so the transfer revenue is the club's. She could make it hers, but that'd be pretty awful of her.
It would be terrible if this happened. She would literally be draining the club and running. There were rumours of billionaires taking an interest not that long ago - could this be linked?
We actually have no evidence she is doing any such thing. In fact, she turned some debt into equity since Markus died.
Yeah, no evidence at all. I don't believe she would be heartless enough to asset strip. Not only would it be enormously disrespectful to the fans and her dead dad, but she's already making a ridiculous profit.
Sunseeker, a subsidiary of a large Chinese conglomerate that has been in the market for a football club to enhance its image in the West. Already sponsors the team, has ties with Cortese. That's the dream, really.
I'd certainly prefer that to what's happening now. If she wants to sell she should have done it at the end of last season though. If she sells now she's leaving us well and truly in the ****ter.
But Krueger said the club is 100% not going to be sold, and he's certainly not a lying arsehole motherfucker full of **** ****, is he?
Only problem I have with Cortese is he was basically the dad and the players his babies. So once he left(for whatever reason) it ****ed the club up. I don't know if I would want one person with that much power again.
