I think ITV have enquired about showing it but it's not viable. A source at ITV tells me: "No Slovakian channel covering it, so no match coverage. Sky Sports News will probably have an in-vision reporter there." Best answer I've got right now. Ill let you know if this changes.
Now that the match is so far away from Trencin I wont be surprised if there are more Hull City fans than Trencin fans.
It's only 50 miles/50 minute drive. Trencin are doing a return coach trip for €5 too, I think all their supporters will be there, along with probably lots more locals wishing to see a premier league team live.
The usually reliable wiziwig is now listing the match as scheduled to be televised. http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=271135&part=sports
Funny that, because the the first leg of Trencin vs Vojvodina in Zilina was on TV, as I watched it on Wiziwig. Just further proof that ITV isn't fit to show sports such as football.
Hi Sorry, full of cold so I can't be arsed to read all the posts but...... I watched the Trencin V Vojvodin? game on firstrow so, surely, if they televised this game then they'll televise ours? You'll need an add blocker though. Firtsrow is popup/ add city! I always watch city on this site though if I can't make/ afford the game. Cheers Chris
Any streaming service will have it as some country will no doubt show it. I find it hard to believe that their local tv stations wont
I think it's quite piss-poor that it isn't televised in the UK. Are there any other English teams playing in the Europa League on Thursday?
Like I said, piss-poor. If someone like Newcastle or West Ham were in our position then it would be on ITV4 or something like that.
Unfortunately chaps, we just don't generate the audiences TV companies want. We were close to the minimum number of times Sky and BT had to show us last season and we were the 4th pick Quarter Final in the FA Cup last season (and not shown any stage before that, excluding the Brighton replay).
The fact that it was on the Monday does not mean it was picked last. Companies pick and choose the times which they think will get the most viewers at that certain time. For example, I'm pretty certain MNF on Sky has a lot of first pick matches.
Isnt on even in the US which shows basically all the English games. They are showing some Man City Liverpool preseason game instead.
