GTF must be statistically one of our best players. He scored 3 goals last season, often from midfield (that finish against Huddersfield in particular was great) and makes lots of nice passes, assists etc. I actually think he's quite a useful secret weapon, I remember him being quite handy for Blackpool when they were in the PL. Plus he actually doesn't seem that bothered about being a bit-part player.

 

I think in his current state, he doesn't have much choice!

 

He has always looked overweight - even fat, but he just keeps going. I bet the owners think he is worth the year contract already with the 'face' gained from the anniversary match.

 

I think he put weight on while at Blackpool.

It takes a special type of player to player at a high level at this size. Andy Reid has got away with it for years, Rooney has always looked bulky too.

The weight kinda helps his game though tbh and fitness-wise he seems ok

 

Good grief, he's fat as ****.

 

That was a year ago. He's lost weight since then. Still skillful and full of pace though, even then.

 

Have you got any recent pictures? I remember him scoring a great goal at the KC a few years ago, he was pretty chubby back then too.

GTF scored 5 goals for Blackpool in the perm and isn't going to be first choice by any means but he is a worthwhile player to have around for a year and not a bad option to have on the bench. One thing guaranteed with him is effort and he can hold the ball up well

That's a fat suit he puts on when he plays! His normal physique is the same as Ian Ormondroyd!

Easy if he plays anything like he did at the World Cup. His power won't trouble Wasyl or Wes like it would other centre halfs.

 

Genuinely our start could be a blessing in disguise with the World Cup. We finished last season earlier then anyone else as Nigel rotated a little towards the end and we only had Riyad Mahrez at the World Cup
