I think it has gone past the stage where any signing will stop the meltdown. The only thing that will is when the season starts and if we start winning a few games and the new players look good. Any signing we make will be met with "oh he isn't as good as Shaw/Lallana/whoever else" before they have even played.
Just read that the same BBC journalist that broke the Chambers story is saying that Morgan and Jay are close to joining spurs. So is Simon Peach, who is normally right.
I would imagine that deals are set in stone in jan when Poch decided he was moving on. Morgan & Jay won't be here for much longer. But how do Spurs or anyone eel for that matter get Jay thru a medical @ this stage.
Jay can run. Jay can swim. Jay can do gym work. Jay doesn't have any illnesses or irregularities. He just can't play football yet.
Our medical team must be furious. They all gave up their summer to help Jay and try and speed up his recovery...now the **** is ditching us too.
Oh I'm not saying all fans. I am certainly not in meltdown, just more of an acceptance/realisation that this was always likely to be the case.
If they want to go let them. Lets start with Ron from scratch. We can and will be better off. Exciting times ahead.
You can't possibly be suggested NC too? No, you must be meaning other things going on after he left. He couldn't possibly be involved in suggesting/swaying any of the players.
Problem is Lamby we don't have a good team anymore, when Morgan goes that 7 out with only 2 in....we had a thin squad before but now it's a joke. And the board are no closer to signings and those we were linked with are signing up elsewhere now.
