We had some crazy ass weather down here. 6am was thunder lightning and hail the size if ping pong balls! Looked like it was actually snow settling on the road was that heavy! Roads flooded.. Lightning taking out rail sub stations... Now... Glorious sunshine.. Mental
Yeah the yanks eat that **** up. There are quite a lot of English artists who aren't big in England and are huge in America, or at least FAR bigger in America than in their native UK. Since the 80's: When in Rome Wang Chung Dido Leona Lewis (Still bigger than ever in the states) Cher Lloyd
Exactly. Huge in the US, relatively unknown in the UK. When in Rome were an 80's group from Birmingham whose biggest hit in the US charts was called "The Promise", you can actually hear the song on the End credits of the film, Napolean Dynamite: Wang Chung, formed in London in 1980, had a string of top 10 hits in the 80's including, Wang Chung Tonight and Dance Hall Days (Which you can hear on the GTA: Vice City radio stations): Little bit of trivia, but the lead singer of Wang Chung was called Jeremy Ryder, whose son Jack became an actor and played Jamie Mitchell in Eastenders, and married Corrie's Kym Marsh.
LOL... I live in the US and have never heard of her! Not that that is saying much... I'm not much for following pop-culture. I'll ask around the office see if anyone has heard of her.
hehe that statement wasnt about cher Lloyd, she is know in the UK, known and reviled. That was about Wang Chung and When in Rome. Surely your American friends have heard of Wang Chung?
