Remy has a lot of dreams, doesn't he? His dream move to Arsenal fell through. Now his dream move to Liverpool has gone tits up. Still, he has some dream moves to Newcastle, Spurs and West Ham to fantasise over. When those fall through and his dream move to a continental side falls through, he'll no doubt be dreaming about staying with QPR.

Precisely! Absolutely great news for us. Mr Remy, we are like Hotel California ....... Once you get here, you can never leave ...... Unless we say otherwise. Sorry mate, you gave to stay and score goals for us!
A sad day in Uberville when I'm responding to my own posts... http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/27/why-m...-loic-remy-back-to-newcastle-united-4812272/? ...but then I'm a sad mo-fo at the best of times.
A look at when Liverpool linked Loic Remy failed a previous medical A problem was detected when Loic Remy made a move from Nice to Marseille in 2010. It is one possible explanation being put forward as to why his LFC medical failed too. please log in to view this image The deal for Queen’s Park Rangers striker Loic Remy to make a £8 million move to Liverpool is off after the French striker failed his medical this week. The Independent report that the medical staff at Anfield asked for a second opinion before making their decision, but this is not the first time this has happened to the former Newcastle United striker. When Remy was making a move from OGC Nice to Marseille in 2010, the striker failed the initial medical due to a heart defect that was discovered during the tests. The Marseille medical staff then had further tests done on the player by their own Doctors and club doctor Christophe Baudot said that heart specialists consulted by the club were of the opinion that Remy was fit for practicing sport at a high level. "I am relieved to know the outcome," Remy said at the time. "It will allow me to work with Marseille in good condition with a free mind. "When you go through such moments, you don't feel calm. But I'd rather have it happen that way and really know today that I'm healthy." Four years have passed since the defect was originally discovered and the forward has never missed a game due to anything linked with his condition. In his first season with Marseille he scored 15 goals in 31 games, following that up with 12 goals in 29 games. It would be strange that after his half-season with QPR and then the very successful loan spell with Newcastle United, that Liverpool would feel that the defect would have any further effect on his career. The only other possible explanation could be a slight knee niggle that he had trouble with at the end of the 2011/12 season, and was exasperated when Marseille continued to rush the player back from injury. Remy only managed 420 minutes in 14 games in his last season for Marseille. However, it was more due to the club rushing him back than any long-term damaged. His performances in Premier League since that injury have shown just how effective he can be in the English league. If it hasn’t given the player any problems in four years, it is unlikely it would be a problem in the future. Whoever Remy signs for, they can look forward to the French forward having something to prove when he next visits Anfield in the Premier League. Should Liverpool have taken a gamble on Remy?
This could really work in our favour. We get to keep Remy, at least till January and he has something big to prove... He'll be banging in goals and doing everything to get on the pitch to prove that he is not injury prone.
Ok, so he has dicky knees, a bad heart, very little spine and no balls .... We should be offering him an upgraded contract! The news just keeps getting better by the hour.
Well this is a strange business. Have we considered the possibility that Liverpool may juts be trying to knock down the price? By most accounts, he does not want to play for us so I suspect that plus an historic health problem is to try for a price drop. I hope we can keep him but I have a bad feeling about this that the QPR accountant is not going to like.
We could still be starting against Hull like this: Cesar Onuoha Ferdinand Caulker Barton Faurlin Phillips Yun Taarabt Remy Austin
What a shame we got rid of Johnson. I am sure that the medics at Loftus Road could have built a £30m striker from bits of Johnson, Remy and Zamora. I suppose they could use SWP for a few parts too. We could get our money's worth out of him yet!
Sadly, I don't think so, Liverpool could hardly reject him for failing a medical and later announce they were paying a knock down price of £6 -7m for him. I'd love the guy to play for us if his heart (no pun intended) was genuinely in it. As Roller says, he may jump ship at the last minute. At the moment, the spanner's been thrown into QPR's transfer window works
It's a tough one. Short term thinking or long term morality. Yes he would be a playing asset but he obviously thinks he is too good for us so I want him to go. It's quite easy to be blinded by a desire to stay in the premiership.
Demba Ba made a move to Chelsea after failing medicals all over the place. Clubs will buy players on more of a gamble as they get more desperate and the prices being quoted for Remy are definitely not over inflated due to his release clause anyway. That said, there's nothing to stop us just putting him out there for £8M (our break even point) no matter what club wants him (no lower Prem clubs though). The other factor is this might just humble Remy a bit - make him realise that the world isn't guaranteed to be his oyster and he needs to appreciate those that appreciate him (namely us). Personally, I'd be happy if he stayed and there's no guarantee that he'll break down within seconds of taking to the pitch. We need to be pursuing probably 3-4 strikers with a view to getting a couple in anyway so I don't see this as anything more than a minor disruption that could just "lumber" us with a very good player who will score goals.
You know Sylvio I half dreamt almost the same team yesterday - only Green for Cesar (I think Green will at least start the season) and Traore my slight preference over Yun. My biggest doubt really was whether Matt Phillips could play wing back, and that I think we need a player in CM with more speed and power than either Barton or Ale (or Granero) have. Otherwise that could be a very good team if Arry could get them playing together, it's a big IF.
As ever, well put Matt. Even if we could keep until January, that would help the survival campaign a lot.
He wants to play at the highest level which is European football. Nothing wrong with that. And I can't think why he should feel particularly loyal to a club where he only played for 4 months. However, having failed in that ambition - at least for the time being - we should have no qualms about making use of his talents. Agreed that the club need to push him to a decision sooner rather than later but remember he has a contract with us that needs to be honoured.
I read somewhere over the weekend that a 'better' striker had appeared on Liverpools radar and it was an easy out for them by saying he'd failed the medical. Also they can't seem to persuade Borini to go to Sunderland.
