City will win the league at a canter. Mourinho's turgid style of football doesn't work any more as the "smaller" clubs know that parking the bus could well get them a point, whereas in the past they'd occasionally have a go only to concede and then spend the rest of the match facing a wall of defenders. They'll finish second. Arsenal will have enough to ensure they get a top 4 place and Manchester United will become very hard to beat and also finish top four. I think Spurs are going to have a very difficult season.
Odds at this time are just poor speculation. City could win everything or nothing. United could collapse into a season of in-fighting and who knows about Arsenal. As for us. Well if BR has a cunning plan yet then he's keeping it well hidden. In terms of new personnel, we've got the kind of players who could do the job (top 4, knock-out CL) for us (I think) - I just haven't got a clue yet as to how we will play!!!!!
Hopefully last night wasn't a insight. We were playing a deep 451 system, sitting back and looking to counter. This isn't a route I'd favour at all.
I'm sure BR will be trying one or two things in pre-season anyway and seeing how different players adapt in various systems.

I'm happy being seen as the underdogs again whilst the media put United and Arsenal up on a pedestal. Arsenal will implode again and United will falter. I also think City will not do as well as expected. The title is Chelsea's imho.
Team Odds Chelsea 15-8 Fair Manchester City 2-1 Fair Manchester United 5-1 Overpriced! Arsenal 6-1 Value Liverpool 10-1 Fair Tottenham 66-1 Irrelevant Everton 100-1 (see above)
IMO right now 10/1 for LFC looks too short... 5/1 for utd looks way to short. I'd put utd at 10/1 and LFC at 16s or 20/1
1000/1 Thanks for that....... Any of you lovely posters actually know what an underdog is? Someone posted with reference to last season, "I thought we'd done it, at last...." At last? What, at last since you last did it? Try never having done it, then try never ever having the chance to do it again or for a 1st time, because any threat of a challenge from a young vibrant exciting team or any sign of a decent player, 'underdogs' like you come and cherry pick/poach/tap up (yes gobby Gerrard). There should be a 'Premier Premier League' let the 5 of you play each other week in week out, because from where I'm sitting there's eff all chance of actually winning anything anymore.
Your management could have stood firm and not sold. They could have reinvested the massive amounts of money that was paid to Southampton. We didn't sell Suarez until we wanted to despite Real and Barcelona knocking on the door. I feel sorry for the fans of Soton about what happened- but honestly... there is no rule that you have to sell your best players every summer- or that you can't reinvest the money that is brought in. Your anger at Liverpool and the Liverpool fans is misplaced.
