Strikes me for all his posterings MC has not delivered a marquee signing so0meone who will sell season tickets it appears that pout imports are no better than the useless ones we got rid off at least we could remember their names I don't know about you but these new recruits leave me with no confidence what so ever We heed a new striker to replace Ross what have we got a rumour about a freebie from Villa We need two pacey wide men what have we got Morison and White not players that excite me. I also feel that Byram is about to depart as well for £7m to Southampton I do hope I'M wrong bhut I very much doubt it . Vivani deal may still be on using MC reverse phycology by saying we don't want him now I think he is calling the agents bluff we shall see As for the coach he's just a puppet and they easily act as scapegoats and get discarded very easily I expect he may last till October Altogether a dismal depressing situation is looming unless we go out and strengthen the squad mike
Good Morning Alf from a cloudy Bardsey the weather it seems follows my thoughts about my team lets get some pace! Get rid of the dross!
very good post 60 ... key thing is Cellino has set his budget and won't stray, he only wants to pay a certain level of wages, and he will not use the Ross money to beef up his war chest ... so what we are seeing are players of a certain level joining but so far nobody absolutely outstanding ... as you quite rightly point out, we are very thin in key areas, and it means we are going to be awfully predictable and easy to play against ... as for being linked with that donkey Delfunnynose who couldn't hack it at Blackpool, well its just depressing really Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Leeds60 I would love to know how you have decided our new signings are no better than the useless ones we got rid of? Silvestri Berardi & Bianchi are much better than any of them we got rid of, not sure about Doukara, as not seen him play. Silvestri Breardi & Bianchi will all be in the starting line up at Millwall imo.
I think what 60 is saying is that Hockaday has decided this due to the team he started yesterday, which he publicly stated earlier in the week would be his Millwall starting eleven ... so how are Berardi and Bianchi not better than the likes of Warnock and White? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Silvestri played and played well, Berardi is just getting back to match fitness after not returning to training at Sampdoria until late as their season starts later in Italy than England. Bianchi is just getting used to playing in England, best passer of the ball we have in midfield. Hock did say his strongest 11 would play but there are reasons some did not start that game, in 2 weeks time these 3 will start against Millwall.
Hock should keep his mouth shut regarding his strongest team, if we are still trying to bring in 4 or 5 new players, he won't know what his strongest team will be. I want to give him a chance and only time will tell, but I think he's out of his depth..just my opinion.
Apart from the goals he conceded - I can't think of ANY Championship keeper that wouldn't have save this 1st goal Chesterfield scored - very poor attempt and his effort for the 2nd not much better - am sure any Championship manager that watched that will know he is dog turd with anything that goes to his right now http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9396172/chesterfield-2-2-leeds-highlights
I haven't changed my tune I just don't like the way we are playing and has Billy states if the new recruits are so good why were they not playing surely its better to blend them in not stick em on the bench
Berardi is not going to get match fit if he doesn't start playing for longer and Bianchi just getting used to playing in England? Why was that a reason to leave him out then? Surely the more game time he gets the quicker he will get used to it. We are already in a mess for the start of the season unless we sign home based players, Italian based players start back later for training so they are going to be behind where fitness is concerned, lacking fitness, getting used to the English game, not gelling as a team, it is already looking like a train wreck waiting to happen. Oh add to that we haven't replaced Ross yet and the time it takes Cellino to find a player, discuss terms and then discover they are out of his price range means we are highly unlikely to this week either.
No I completely agree with you but you have been blowing Cellino's trumpet for a while and this kinda goes against that
I too have been blowing my trumpet for Cellino, only because I saw it has him or bust. I do like his no nonsense approach but I feel he is making a big mistake with his decision to get a coach who will be gone by Christmas and the players he is bringing in. The keeper and RB sound promising but they were not priority areas
