Give over, firstly he's played all his life and shown no signs that it affects him. Secondly, a hole in the heart isn't a serious condition. I was born with a congenital heart defect and spent plenty of time in specialist hospitals that deal with this kind of thing. Plenty of people are born with a hole in the heart, quote often the hole will close over but if it doesn't it still isn't serious and certainly isn't life threatening. It's the sort of thing that would be monitored annually, problems would only arise if the hole continued to increase in size.
According to pretty much the whole of the English press, yes. You've stated in another thread the press are more often right than wrong when it comes to these things.
Bares no relevance to this thread but yes, it's three on the spin for you boys and until we do something about that you certainly have bragging rights
that wont pass a medical for £8.5m with an immediate sell on of £15m, bins, there is something wrong there, to add, my first born has a heart condition, i know
Is not a logical that if he failed his medical then maybe his condition may have deteriorated? We are talking congenital heart disease here aren't we just to clarify?
Well then surely you know a hole in the heart is both very common and only a minor condition. If it was such a big risk to his life then I doubt Remy wouldn't even be playing at professional level anymore. I'd imagine he's already earned enough money to last a life time.
"Physical activity. Children who have small VSDs that don't require surgery or who have recovered from VSD repair shouldn't have activity restrictions. Be sure to check with your child's doctor about whether your child can take part in sports."
If it's failed due to a whole in the heart then it's highly unlikely that it could have deteriorated that badly/quickly in twelve months. Heart valves/hole in the heart increase/decrease at rates of approximately 0.001mm over twelve month periods. Given he'd of had a medical last year with us I don't see how it can have got so bad as to put his life at risk if he plays. Again, this is all just conjecture until we know the real reason for the medical failing. Your guess us as good as mine.
listen, see what byron and smug and myself said, liverpool are not prepared to take the risk. yes the money side you would expect, but we've just seen kyle go from £10k pw to cleaning ships i actually give up, we are talking about a human being here
Given that he's been a professional for over ten years, with no long term injury set backs I think it's safe to say he falls in to the first category
Would rather win nowt and play in Europe than win nowt and not play in Europe. But I'm not getting in to the whole newcastle - sunderland banter because it gets boring very quickly and derails threads. You boys have three wins on the bounce, two if which you played us off the park on our home turf, as I've said, you have current bragging rights
Ashley's accountant won't want to see an £8 million investment in a potential in-patient ......... just my opinion of course.
I don't think a hole in the heart is considered a congenital heart defect but could be wrong. Just from my own experiences (had a hole in the heart and have had both my aortic and pulmonary valves replaced) and from all of my consultations over the years I've had it explained to me over and over that any growth in the leaks/hole are so slow that bi-annual check ups would be fine but they do yearly ones instead just to be on the safe side.
And there you go ....... that's enough to put me off investing £8 million, everyone on Dragons Den would be passing
