I've been hoping for something like that for close to 10 years now. Hopefully one day football will eat itself.

Then really you are no better than Lovren. Supporting saints is about the community. Players come and go. Occasionally you come across a loyal player like MLT but it's pretty rare. The family is largely the fans who stick together through the good and bad times. We have a laugh. We have a drink or two. We get to watch good football. I've seen nothing to suggest that don't happen this year. Lallana and Lovren are both twats. Good luck to Shaw and chambers. Can't blame em. And I'm really pleased for Rickie.

I'm excited about the new management team. I'm optimistic about Pelle and tadic. I am confident that more good signings to come. And I know for a fact that we have a good production line! I really don't care about the board so long as they keep us solvent and invest some of the millions we've received

We all need to wait until the first home game and then make a judgement. We could in all honestly have a better team and squad than the one we finished with last season. If a core of players signed contracts on the back of Cortese's promises, which were not achievable, we are best rid. We will never know if we could have reached those lofty goals but remember for every 30m we were spending in a summer, the top four were spending that on one player. The gap is getting wider, we were closer to relegation than top four in our best ever season.

We are linked to international players that were I the last four of the WC. If we get them that is better than a jumped up 19 year old with two England caps. They are not here yet, so we need to wait and see who walks out of that tunnel against West Brom before throwing a wobbly.

It helps when your the biggest club in your country with CL football every season. There's something very wrong with the world when a guy can say 2.5 million is figure you argue about for five minutes and people are agreeing with him.

€2.5 million is not that much to a guy who's been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in jail for tax evasion (admitted to evading €28.5 million).

Lawyer here. No chance. That'll be £800. Many thanks and kind regards

Price per match is about comparable to the more economical seats at a West End production. Still mighty expensive, prefer to spend it on a flight going somewhere where I have never been before like Australia, USA, South Africa. These are all places I am going to visit before I ever see any Premiership match again. Indeed any live football match back in the UK.

Yes, but he made a good point. Better to get the 2.5m from a transfer deal (where it is peanuts at EPL level) than to extract it from fans (many struggling to justify it in an already tight budget).

Most of the Bayern Munich board are pretty detached from reality. A lot of them were playersso they've always been on mega dollars and revered by the public down there.

Still i wish the FA would take a look at the Bundesliga in regards to prices. All Bundesliga clubs eat millions in profit each year in order to sell tickets and it makes the games so much more accessible to the public.

I did a quick comparison to the club that finished 8th in the BL last season which was FC Augsburg (30,000 seater stadium) and a season ticket in the most expensive area is is €559 (442.50 GBP) although you can get it cheaper. You can also get safe standing season tickets for €199 (157.50 GBP.)

Also checked Bayern who are charging between €140 (110 GBP) for the worst seating to €750 (593.60 GBP) for the best (Doesnt include CL.)

You buy a ticket for the right to watch SFC...you may think you are going to watch certain players, but that isn't what is on the ticket. The cast of players changes all the time.

Agree with these views, but I think we could cut St.G some slack. Part of his decision to buy a season ticket is based on a perceived happiness/entertainment value, as well as support. I doubt if he can afford, or wants to afford, a ticket if all he is going to witness is turmoil and underachievement at St Marys. As he said, he bought into the dream and don't forget he's been waiting a very long time for a sniff at success from his football club, only to be let down again. So I imagine he's quite disappointed and frustrated. I think we could understand and support his frustration as well as state the obvious.

Agree. But most people learn by their mistakes. So next season (depending on what happens this year of course) could see a major decline in sales. Or will the board recommend a reduction in price due to the "less attractive football" - if it gets that bad.
Honestly, I am trying to be positive about all of this, but it's tough when you don't get any information and see the squad being dismantled in front of you. The number of "sorry for you" messages I've had from fans of other clubs is quite amazing .................................

The Cortese one I think...though could mean the Civil War (Godders would be a roundhead banning all music and dancing).

    It's Cosi fan tutte Godders.

At least you haven't had to experience Götterdämmerung like we have.
