I like opera and if I paid a lot of money on the basis that I would see and hear Bryn Terfel only to discover that he had been dismissed and had been replaced with a cheaper and inferior alternative I am sure I would have a case for a full refund of my ticket. If he had been ill and his understudy took his role for the night that is a different matter. So I bought my season ticket not realising the SFC were going to sell all of our players with any talent and replace them with cheap and inferior alternatives. I know one or two of you lads have studied law so what sort of case can I make for a full refund of the price of my season ticket? I need to know because after supporting Saints for over forty years I feel I was mugged for the price of my season ticket and have absolutely no faith in the board or enthusiasm for the new season.. I could not feel more angry at this moment than if some drug soaked addict had mugged me in the street so angry in fact that is most likely the last season ticket I will ever buy. I've been conned and that is unacceptable. Ms Liebherr has decided that she is happy selling all of our best players I just wish she would sell our club so that we can be shot of her and her Canadian buffoon (what is it with Saints and idiots who like hockey in all of its forms?) and the totally ineffectual Reed. As the Who sang " Wont get fooled again". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp6-wG5LLqE Signed. Really thoroughly pissed off of Southampton.
On a tangent to this point, I can't believe the price they're charging for a season ticket. And I thought that before we sold our starting 11.
Unfortunately, that wasn't a condition of the purchase of the season tickets - "refunds if we sell everyone". I know you will be fed up with hearing this, and I understand the frustration and anger you may have Godders, but we support Southampton Football Club, and whoever plays for them. Unfortunately, players come, and players go. Some leave with their heads high, and the others sneak out the back door after throwing a strop. It's the nature of the beast these days, but i'm sure we will get some new lads in very soon.
Well, I must admit, you do seem to have a case. It reminds me of KK going off to Newcastle when he realised Saints had little ambition, but like multiplied. It's a rotten time in the Club's history made all the worse because nobody has the bottle to come out and say exactly why it's happening and who started it off. If we knew just that much it would be a tad easier to stomach. On top of that, my instinctive loathing of the PL gets deeper and better founded by the season. But there you go. Nobody will make things more competitive because it isn't good for business. Even if it would be better for sport.
Unfortunately fans come and go too and this is one very angry fan who is off. I have decided that there are better things that I can do with £1500 than give it to some idiot Canadian and a disinterested owner.
I could understand all of this if we were in the **** as when Lowe cocked it all up but we were a couple of signings away from having a really good until that stupid twat got involved. Nicola knew that any debt could be resolved if we got into Europe and he sold me the dream just as he sold it to the players and there is nothing worse in this world than being let down by people you trust.
You have an even slimmer chance of getting 800 quid out of me than Saints have of me renewing my season ticket next season.
You underestimate the extent of my anger and what a little **** I can be if people cross me or take the piss.
Sir you underrate yourself. I'm sure you can be an extremely big ****. I'm expecting the whole situation to be very different before the first game, however the atmosphere will be very interesting indeed.
Season ticket prices went up, yet at the moment I can't see this season being as good as the last, so not sure how that's justified. An interesting view by Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness who was quoted as saying "We could charge more than €130 (£104). Let's say we charged €380 (£300). We'd get €2.5m (£2m) more in income, but what's €2.5m to us? In a transfer discussion you argue about the sum for five minutes. But the difference between €130 and €380 is huge for the fans." Given the amount of transfer income received, then it's a shame Southampton couldn't have done something similar and would have been a big PR boost for the club and new board.
This would be the perfect year for the Sky money to go tits up. My dislike for the England team has reached an all time high, my distain for the EPL is nearing red, I'd like football to be plunged into a chaos that forces it to look at what it has become. Its barely a sport anymore, its a BT advert for the top four with a **** little role for the supporting group.
