    Made up with this signing. I wanted him before he moved to Saints and think he'll turn out to be a class defender. Him and Sakho could be us sorted for the next ten years. Ilori and Wisdom still have huge potential to come through too.

    But as Roger says, we get a freebie now don't we? Buy 3 get 1 free..?

    £20m is prob £5m overpriced, similar to Lallana who is maybe £5-10m overpriced, but given the fact teams know we have cash and we're buying from a team in the same division, was always going to inflate the price a bit.

    As people keep saying, will only be overpriced if he flops. If him, Lallana, Lambert all offer something and cement top 4 this year and possibly win a cup, I don't think any of us will worry if we overspent by £10-£15m on them.

    Henderson was "overpriced" at 16+4m.

    Lovren is a good player. If he fits well with Sakho and takes Skrtel's spot I think it will be worth the price. Personally I'd sell Kolo (a used car) and keep both Agger and Skrtel as backup since all of our CB's except Skrtel are injury-prone.

    Now all we need is a pair of fullbacks, one more midfielder and a striker.

    Looks much better than last year.
