Here is Siggy's free kick (courtesy of Twitter). https://vine.co/v/M0FPuexl9Qq I am happy for them to play every game in the new away kit if they win 4-0 each time
I'm not worried about Bony at this point. He's only just come back into training after his break. He started slowly last season, it may take him some time to catch up to the others. His target should be the United match.
All goals on here. Gylfi's first was a bit more than a simple tap-in as it's been described. His free kick would have beaten any wall and keeper. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9397272/sigurdsson-scores-for-swansea?
Great goals there, and some on here are saying we had a raw deal bringing Siggy in for Davies?......................... It's being reported that we have made a formal interest to Spurs for Kyle Naughton?
Went to the game yesterday and enjoyed, nice to see nearly 500 jacks there. Plymouth were piss poor but take nothing away from the Swans maybe they made them look piss poor. Fabianski looked sound enough, Didnt have a lot to do, but what he did he did fine. The back four looked solid enough, Kingsley Looked very good and will be a tidy signing, He was better going forward than defensively. However we did look a little shakey defending set pieces. Midfield, Ki looked neat and tidy, Just wish he would shoot sometimes, when it opens up for him. JonJo was his normal self and will have a big season this year. Both wingers were doing what they do and getting at their defense. Young Josh Sheehan played very well. neat and very comfortable on the ball. Donnely was up top and he did ok, looked to be playing at his level I know he scored, but Dai would have had that one and missed an absolute sitter. After the changes in the second half for about 15 minutes Plymouth gave us a good game and we were under a lot of pressure, but dealt with it well. We saw the introduction of Taylor, Bray, Montero, Gomis earlier for an injury to Donnely, Jazz, Tiendalli, Amat and a few more. Alex Bray looked fantastic. got at the full back with pace and lots of confidence and his vision for Siggys goal was superb. Looks like one for the future. Taylor was his usual self and did what he does. But I wish he wouldnt run with the ball so close to the wingers and closse the space down he did it so many times. I waited with baited breath to see Jeff get on the ball and it took for ages. When he did guys, f** mine, i think he will excite quite a few of us this year. (I know it was nly Plymouth) but he tore their right back a new one everytime he ran at him, very quick. Excited about him. Siggy was siggy and got in the box as often as he could. neat on the ball and took his chance from open play very well. The one thing I did notice was when he came on he started taking the corners and the difference in quality was massive. Accurate and lots of whip on the ball. I think he is going to be worth the money. Gomis did ok, I think he was trying a bit hard and did a lot of needless running around. Quit strong on the ball and a decent touch. All round not a bad performance for a pre season friendly. The only down sides were Chico still rolling around, (It does appear he was Injured), Jazz, guys I know you all want him to do well, but just gave the ball away far to often. Thats about it really. On the plus side to many to mention. Feel a little more positive with regard to the squad. We do still need a few additions though. The other plus was the performance of the youngsters Bray and Sheehan. Will be watching and waiting for them to break through in the future.
My Bro and my nephew were part of the 500 and his analysis is very similar to yours trunds. The local Plymouth paper said that the Swansea team were quality and showed Plymouth how the game should be played and the difference in the two sides who were in the same league a few seasons ago.
Highlights.Havent got a shocking miss by Donelly on here or a shocking tackle on him either. Buts lots of good bits and nice to see the youngsters doing well. http://www.pafc.co.uk/news/article/argyle-v-swansea-highlights-1788027.aspx
JDG wore the number 20 shirt with us I noticed that Montero was wearing the number in this game. Does this mean the end of JDG?
