Not afraid to because every race he just gets better and better and he's probably the most likeable guy on the grid! <ok>

Did Meecededs strategy ruin Hamilton's chance of winning the race, once he was third? Could they have pitted him a lap after Ricciardo so be on fresh soft tyres so he would have had the pace to chase Alonso and pass. didn't Rosberg pit a few laps after Ricciardo?

Are you actually serious? They screwed Rosberg out of a win. If they had put him on the same strategy as Hamilton then he'd have won as he was ahead of Alonso.

Rosberg's luck today was nowhere, yet again.

How did they screw Rosberg then? Rosberg has only got himself to blame for not winning the race, he had to go crying to the pitwall because he couldn't overtake Hamilton under his own volition. Ricciardo was in the lead then pitted, leaving alsonso in the lead followed by hamilton. Ricciardo on new tyres blasts upto both of them passes and wins the race by more than 6 seconds? Hamilton pitting a lap after Ricciardo would have had plenty of time in hand to catch and pass Alonso and win.

So what you're saying there, is that Hamilton is to blame for yesterday?
They screwed Rosberg by pitting him into traffic.. Not once, but twice. I had live timing up and knew straight away that he'd be in the traffic with barely any chance of getting through, if they had waited a few more laps, he'd have had enough gap to the cars behind to get out ahead and do some good laps, so they pitted him too early.

According to Rosberg's interview the problem was caused by the safety car coming out after he had passed the pit lane entrance, but he was still stuck behind Hamilton for 8 laps, and the only person to blame for that is Rosberg.

You clearly weren't watching the race when Rosberg failed to get close to, let alone pass, JEV. Lack of luck does not come into it I'm afraid.

Only listened to it on the radio, but sounded a cracker.

Something there for Ricciardo, Alonso and Hamilton fans to all be happy about.

Remember yesterday Rosberg said this? Maybe he shouldn't have...he got what he asked for and it didn't work out in his favour.... If he wants wheel to wheel action with Hamilton he needed to get closer and pass not sit back. I like Ricciardo style.. Don't waste time with fresh tyres..lol

Yesterday after qualifying..Hamilton's car caught afire in Q1 without a lap on the board.

Rosberg said: "It's a pity for the team and for me. Again it's reliability and, also, I would prefer to be battling with Lewis and have the maximum adrenaline rush and not be like this... It's not the same.

"I am not so happy and not ecstatic about it."

    Lesson: don't cry wolf..lol

Anyone think that Hamilton was running with a wet set-up?

He should have blasted past Alonso, but could barely get alongside him? Did they dial in more downforce yesterday thinking the race would be wetter than it was?

Seemed down on top speed compared to how the Mercs normally run, yet he was being told to run max revs etc, so clearly no power problems.

Can't overlook another poor showing from Vettel.

Really needs to get to grips with this car.

Possibly. Both didn't seem to have their usual grunt, but I ain't complaining because it was a cracking race!

Nice to see the merc pushed back to third. Alonso did a sterling job!

He wasn't too bad until losing it... but the way he gathered the car and kept going was impressive.

I was thinking that too... Especially when he was running behind Vettel...normally that mercedes would have just flashed pass the red bull... But he just couldn't get close enough on the straights and the red bull was great in the corners as usual.

Miggs, what's going on at Red Bull. Was i right in saying that any decent driver going to Red Bull would expose Von Vettel.

The Mercedes is obviously weak behind other cars. Even each other. They did have tape on the break ducts that caused them to over heat when it dried up

They seemed to have problems getting that tape off both cars. I'm not sure that hindered them in the drag down the straight though unless they were just concerned about leaving the breaking too late, but they weren't really reeling in the cars on the straight at a particularly alarming rate.
