    Todays Selection Peterkin @ a Huge 12/1 Ascot 5:20p.m.

This race is choc full of decent battle hardened sprinters but this relative baby is on the upgrade. He made very good use of a handy draw last time when winning very nicely at Chester. The handicapper has only put him up one pound for that and the WFA allowance surely gives him every chance. 12's is too big for this boy especially with the yard in such fine form.

You are bonkers Attivo. No pressure huh.

The one I want to move tomorrow is PETERKIN 5.20 Ascot at a huge 12-1.

Earlier on the card it would be rude almost not to lump on POLYBIUS 3:40 Ascot 2-1. He absolutely bolted up at Windsor recently and the runner up boosted the form in a big way on Friday night. I think this will go off close to EVENS and a six pound penalty really shouldn't prevent a cosy follow up!

Evening all , hope you all had a good day !
305 Ascot DOUBLE BLUFF should step up in trip nicely and lads are offering 7s so very ew friendly
340 Ascot (sorry stick) I was very impressed with DUTCH INTERIORS last but one run at ffos very very quick plus losing weight tomorrow is a bonus also Moore takes the honours , then 365 think 8s is fair lol . It would be rude not to ew
415 Ascot going to take an ew chance here with a very nicely weighted LUNGARNO PLACE all looks right including the track and 9s with coral is taking the p I ss
350 Carlisle as much as I like Dalgleishes corton lad with Eaves onboard 4s doesn't do it for me instead I will be siding ew with Johnstons runner who looks weighted very nicely goes the distance well , and holds 7s with 365 . My main reason though is the jockey booking Norton goes well here and this track down hill it maybe finds every weakness , ew ZANOUSKA.
    GOOD LUCK ALL WHO PLAY

Nearly put up DOUBLE BLUFF myself cracker. Johnston won this race with a similar sort in 2010. Definitely worth a dabble!

3:40 Polybius - backed this one last time out when it won quite easily and even under the penalty tomorrow I'm struggling to find anything in the race that will get close to it

5:20 Doctor Parkes E/W - It's one I've liked backing in the sprints over the last few years, not always the most consistent but is capable of springing a surprise. Receiving a good bit of weight over a lot of the market leaders and can hopefully have a good run.

    Carlisle
4:25 Law Keeper - Had a decent debut at the track last month finishing 2nd, had no chance with the odds on winner but finished well clear of the rest of the field. The Johnston newcomer is a threat but hopefully the course experience can see Law Keeper get her head in front this time.

    Pontefract
3:30 Shouranour - still a maiden after 10 runs but the last few runs have seen him placed and not far away so hopefully this will be the day he can get his head in front. Seemed to be running on well last time out and hopefully a step up in trip can do the trick.

4:05 Elleval - Marnane over from Ireland with this one and not just here to make up the numbers. Spent some time in Meydan and managed to get a couple of wins there. Had a good run at the Curragh last month after a bit of a small break since returning from Meydan, so will hopefully be ready for this one.

I have to also throw my hat into the ring for Double Bluff as this race is made for him in my opinion. He has run creditably twice in Listed races and so should be up to taking this if replicating that form. I also agree with Stick on Polybius as was hugely impressive at Windsor and as long as the race does not come too quick 6lb should not stop the horse going onto better things still after winning this.

    Ascot
    3.05 Double Bluff 13-2
    3.40 Polybius 6-4
    415 Agent Murphy 11-8
    5.20 Robot Boy 6-1 & Barnet Fair 8-1

    15:15 Carlisle - Al Muheer

(Seldom wins, just like me, but was unlucky in running LTO and could well take this claimer. Risky, so smallish win bet).

GL with your bets today everyone!

Stick et al. I wonder if you can help, I was wondering if you knew whether Miss Estela was still in training with Warren Greatrex or whether she has moved?

Had a ferret around, she was sold at Cheltenham to a certain Roger Brookhouse, so I guess she will be with Pipe or Hobbsnext season.

    Thanks all

Brookhouse making the same mistake as Malcolm Denmark then - taking horses from Greatrex and giving them to Pipe <doh>

Wazza had a 36% strike rate with his bumper runners last season and is currently running at a staggering 63% this season with his bumper runners (8 runners, 5 winners). But it's not just bumpers - from a total of 31 runners this season he has had 16 winners or 52% strike rate <yikes>

The fact that his bumper winners are going so well makes me think he is really adept at getting a horse ready to run and teaching it the basics.
