Could there be a case made for the lady to be asset stripping?

    I reckon if he pops up anywhere on TV it'll be on that Sky Football show, where they get coaches, scouts, managers and chairmen on.

    I would personally fly back to the UK to clap Cortese in through the door at this point.

    Well ****ing done in finally noticing the obvious

    We've been saying this for days on the LFC board but all you care to do is ignore it and talk about "twatbeard" et al.

    Fat Kat couldn't give a **** about football and doesn't want a football club. She certainly doesn't want to invest any of her inheritance earning points that get reset every year and players that age and lose value.

    She will buy the minimum to remain in the Premier League but even if relegated she'll just mop up the parachute payments then look to sell the club on for whatever she can get by using its academy as a USP and reason to invest.

    You guys need to be very worried about your club and start thinking what you might be able to do to save it.

    Class. Another guy who peers in through the window and can't quite make a comment without spewing crap about a woman's appearance.

    You need to just go off to your own club and worry about that. You still have paid no attention to anything we've said about Lallana, so don't bother commenting at all.

    No one is upset with Lallana for leaving. No one. It is the manner he did it. Now please, copy him.

    Wait so "twatbeard" isn't a reference to appearance?

    "Fat Kat" is a reference to her capitalistic greed not here apperance you mong <ok>

    fat cat
    Smug, selfish and greedy the businessman/woman who exploits their position for their own personal gain at the cost of the businesses or community

    Thanks for the mong comment too.

    Don't worry I'm sure it's a term of endearment in Liverpool

    If there is a phrase for "selling more than you buy and keeping the rest" then my gut feeling is that this is what is happening. Hopefully wrong but we could replace every player who leaves for about £60m, they may even be better than what we had before, but could see KL keeping the extra £40m (or whatever it turns out to be) as she prepares for a sale of the club

    I was thinking along the same lines. Although if its true then selling the club would make no sense. In between money from player sales/merchandise/tv money/sponsorship/ticket sales etc this is really a rather lucrative business provided you can keep the wage bill down a bit and would make more sense than selling the lot in one go.

    good evening all, as a Fulham fan much is said about our teams wholesale selling policy, without quality replacements.
    So I can easily understand your supporters frustration with your wholesale exodus. I have always had having a soft spot for
    the saints so I do hope you don't become the richest club in the championship at the end of next season

    I thought astroturfnaut was banned from our board last year? Why is he on here talking bollocks again?

    I think our club's board has made a big cock up through their naivety and inexperience but don't for one minute think she is about to sell up.

    This is as bad as when all the red tops talk about her as our 'absentee owner' and then go on to put a picture of her at a game in the article. She is at every match now. I have no real worry on that one. We do however need to get replacements in and sharpish and our situation may look dire to outsiders but I am pretty fed up of the same twats turning up on our board to WUM. Please kindly do one ;)

    This seems the most likely scenario to me, as well. We're looking at potentially £140m - £150m in sales here (that has to be a Premier League record for a season, right? It easily outpaces what Tottenham brought in last year), we'll spend maybe half that, and a modest sum will be earmarked for January. The remainder will vanish into the couch cushions.

    Of course "short term" she isn't going to sell. Parachute payments last 4 years so even if you collapsed this season there would be 4 more years. You should easily have enough for next season, and even if you do get relegated in the next few seasons you will have a few years to get promoted agian, so the actual sale could well be about 7 years down the line.

    In the meantime Southampton's sales will exceed spending in every transfer window and the extra money will be taken out of the club. There will be no ambition to win anything or build towards imrpovement. The manager's remit will be maintaining the PL TV money. The lack of ambition will mean Southampton will be a stepping stone for foreign players into the PL but each will fail or move on.

    This will be a slow death of 1000 cuts rather than a decapitation.

    I hope the best for you but think you are in for a very boring and frustration number of seasons. Laters.

    If this theory does end up being incorrect then it's going to take at least a year or more to disprove it. Our accounts are published so the forensic amongst us will be able to see anything potentially untoward

    Won't necessarily be untoward...Katharina owns the club...you can't steal from yourself. Most of our debt to ML and KL was turned into equity, but it is quite possible that she has shored us up recently and that money would be recoverable. Nicola borrowed money...was that paid off?...probably as it was a short term loan, but if not, I expect that to be sorted.

    Piece on Sky about the Saints situation. It was discussed how the big teams have no problem with FPP, but smaller clubs can get cherry picked. Nicola was right to vote against FPP...it certainly won't help any team with ambition. Said Koeman now knows he has to rebuild an entire team. The summary on Sky said it's bad for Southampton, but also bad for everyone else who enjoyed watching us over the last two years.

    Shaw 27m
    Lallana 26m
    Lambert 4m
    Lovren 20m
    Chambers 16m

    Total= 93m

    Spend = 70m +
    Keep= 20mish for Jan Window

    Schneiderlin ask to stay for one more season(doubt he will), but he does seem the most polite/ grateful to Saints.
    Jay say if you want to go we want £25m as we just got you through a bad injury you twat.

    Buy/already bought:

    Kodkvfhbcfghjfdczak 6m
    Dijk 10m
    Forster 9m
    Another cb maybe 8m
    Clasie 8m
    Winger 6m-8m
    Ings 9m
    Tadic 10m
    Pelle 7m

    75m I think?
