    On the face of it, it does look a great signing, but he certainly hasn't fulfilled his potential yet, he failed to impress at Ajax and in Italy, seems to lose confidence quickly from reports I have seen, so it is a gamble to give him a 4 year contract.

    Lewis Holtby would be a very good signing for us IMO. He struggled at Spurs who have too many similar type of players to him but he did look pretty decent for Fulham

    Talent is clearly there just needs a manager to get it out of him

    He has the potential to be a very good player, he is still eligible for England aswell I think. He isn't going to get into the Germany team anytime soon with the depth they have in midfield.

    How do you reckon you'll fare this season? I think you'll do well to finish as high as you did last season but do you see comfortable mid-table or a relegation scrap this season?

    In the last 8 years Soton have made £104m on academy graduates.

    They've also got James Ward-Prowse, Sam Gallagher and Harrison Reed who are highly rated.
